Great to hear! We've been doing weekly videos for a few years now, so there is a ton of content, but let us know if there is anything specific you'd like to see us cover. We are always looking for new video ideas!
I believe a 17x8.5 is a nice option for ND owners. Allows anything from a 215-245 width. If people don’t want to roll, they can use a 8.5 rim on a 235/40/17. Perhaps others feel the same way. I’m sure they would work for the Brembos (without needing a spacer, like you do for a 17x8). Please make a 17x8.5!!
I am grateful for FM for building those 15x8 ET36 wheels. There isn't much available in that size and offset since the 6ul with those specs has been discontinued. They look better too. I will pick up a set as soon as I can cross the border from Canada to Ogdensburg, NY (UPS charges an arm and a leg for brokerage fees...). Since you are asking for suggestions on new colours, how about some plain old silver? Maybe boring, but never goes out of style. Keep it up!
I am about to order a set of these for my 99 NB. Really impressed with the look and what appears to be great quality for the price. That said, and I certainly could be wrong, I am putting my bet on these being made by BBS. Think about what you see on stock Toyota BBS rims. This design looks very similar to their traditional style.
We were definitely inspired by some of the classic wheels on the market, and it's very hard to be completely original in wheel design. We think you'll be happy with the quality of these wheels, and they look even better in person! Let us know what you think when you receive yours!
My current nd1 bbs set up for front is 205 Michelin pilot sport. Rear 225/45-17 Michelin pilot sport 4S. Fm wheels are reasonable. Someday. Gunmetal is nice. Subtle. Looks light years better than. Stock
I feel some people want a super light weight wheel for the street and canyon carving. We want a 7 inch wide wheel so we can fit lighter tires. Would love to see a 16x7 and/or 17x7. I think it would be a great opportunity for FM because theres not much competition in these sizes other than enkei.
@@aygwm Vincent, the OP, said, "Forgot to mention this is for the ND" and "Would love to see a 16x7 and/or 17x7." And the Storm S1 in a 16x7.5 are lighter than the RPF-1 in a 16x7. So not only do the Storm S1s come close, they downright beat them clearly.

Really like the style, sizes and weights. The bronze would look good on my 01 SE. White would be a good option for some. As well as a silver shade (a little lighter than the gunmetal color on the NC one in the video) might be desirable for some.
The best way to do this is to measure your current set-up, compare it to the extra room you will have with the flares, and then use a wheel/tire/offset calculator and a little math to give you the correct size and offset for that set-up. If you are not sure where to start or need some help with the measurements, give us a call at 970-464-5600 or drop us an e-mail at support@flyinmiata.com. We'd be happy to offer suggestions to help with the fitment you are looking for.

We have no plans for 16's at this time due to the limited tire options available. We could offer them in the future, but only if there is enough market demand.
What is your opinion on running slightly stretched tire size. Ive read online that running a 15x8 wheel with a 205/50R15 tire will be a little bit stretched, but feels better when turning. With you guys being located in CO too, is having a slightly stretched tire a bad idea on these roads?
For performance use, we'll use a slight stretch like that. It does effectively make the sidewall stiffer so it has an effect on ride quality, so for street use you may want to run a slightly narrower tire. For example, one of our staff members runs a 225/45-15 on 15x8s on his street car and used to run 225/45-15 on 15x9 for the track. It's all about matching the parts to the intended use.
@@graham_lewis Since that's an all-season, it's likely that performance is not the #1 priority. But they're likely to have squishy sidewalls - we don't have any experience with it to say for sure. It all depends on how you want to balance ride quality vs turn-in, and that will depend on the tire as well. We simply don't know that tire well enough to give specific recommendations.
I can't make my mind up to what size of wheel feels best for the ND for both street+track use. Obviously the 16 inch wheels would weigh less, but I heard that 17 inch wheels give better steering feel? Can anyone confirm this?
@@FlyinMiataVideo Thank you very much for the quick reply Flyin' Miata, I also appreciate the great customer support. Looking forward to what you guys produce :)
@@smilepermile8165 I've found that tires make the biggest difference in steering feel, namely the stiffness of the sidewall. A stiff sidewall 16 (with taller sidewall) will feel much better than a soft sidewall 17. Also, wider wheels will give more steering feel, so a 205/45 on an 8 inch wheel will generally "feel better" than the same tire on a 7 inch wheel. "Feel better", of course, is a subjective term. In this case, I'm referring to people who drive sports cars rather than luxury sedans, etc.
