Hope it fits with my tall apes I got one on order I need the small deflection on the chest to help me out as I’m a big fat bloke and struggle after a wile on the road in the wind
They might make a mounting kit for your application, but you would have to check. Memphis shades sells the fairing and mounting kits as separate pieces.
I put lucky Dave's 13's on my street bob . I have the same fairing you do and I noticed my led blinkers do I nice job of shining directly into the back of the fairing . I might need to relocate them . Nice bike bro .
Prnd21 Turbo Thanks, man! I'll keep that in mind. I was wondering where the turn signals would sit after the bar change. Guess I'll see once I install them.
Richard Golias This fairing isn't what I'd consider a touring fairing for sure, but it definitely offers more wind protection than the little stock one. Definitely not as much wind protection as a full windscreen though.
Hi Cbus, Yeh looks awsome with the gauntlet, have ordered mine through revzilla, the reviews all seem to suggest exactly what I was looking for!!! Just another question regarding the exhaust on your bike. Is that a slip on to the original headers? What make of exhaust? Does the engine require a retune etc. Any help appreciated. Cheers. Trev South Australia
Hey, sorry for the late reply! I wasn't able to view your comment because it marked it as possible spam for some reason. To answer you questions: No, it's not a slip on. It's a Bassani Road Rage Mega Power 2 into 1 exhaust. The bike does require tuning after installation of this exhaust. I am currently using the Vance and Hines FP3 tuner on my bike. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.
Hey man, not sure if you know or not, but Memphis Shades sells a headlight extension block which moves your headlight further forward so it’s not recessed into the fairing. Just a heads up! 👍
GHOSTwarrior213x Thanks, man. I did see they had that, but I liked the headlight recessed into the fairing for some reason. Sold this bike though (regrettably)... thanks for watching 🤘
Looks great! I am contemplating the Arlen Ness quarter faring, Memphis shades Gauntlet or Bullet. This gives better protection than the stock fairing? I believe MS makes a bracket to push the headlight to the front of the fairing too. Safe riding!
Bill Mercier Thanks! It definitely gives far better wind protection than stock. I'm very happy with it. I may look into that headlight block to move it forward.
dandurag It won't be flush, but definitely closer than you see in this video. In order for it to be completely flush, you'll need a headlight extension block as well.
Looks so good, thinking about one for my 2001 sportster. Question for you guys that ride with it, I have a long beard and hate riding my road king with the windshield as it makes my beard blow up into my face. Before I spend the $$, does this fairing affect airflow around your head, or does it leave your face in the wind? Thanks for any help, fellas! Great looking bike, BTW
Yeah, you may want to get a headlight extension block and possibly trim that headlight housing on the fairing if you have any fitment issues. Should be able to get it to sit pretty flush.
Uwe Leupold I don't have the part number on hand, but I just went through Revzilla.com and selected the kit for the street bob model. I know it'll fit the FXDL, FXDB, and the FXDLS.
Hi Cbus, Just installed my Gauntlet, Looks great ,out for a tryout tomorrow!! Another question if you do not mind...what is the exhaust you are running? Cheers
Thanks Cbus... 6 weeks old and still spending cash...had some chrome werks slip ons installed when I purchased the bike but really like the look and the (UA-cam) sound of the 2 into 1'S. The fairing looks great, I reckon it suits the bike better being a bit larger..the original seemed a bit like too small on the front of the bike. Bought it through revzilla... 8 days to south OZ.... and reading the reviews as well as your UA-cam presentation sold me on it. Anyway thanks for your help and if your ever "downunder" feel free to look us up. Cheers.
@@CbusLowRider dude, loving it. As expected it doesnt deflect wind from my face (seems to hit eyes, up) which i was already used to with the stock fairing. The real gain is the relief of wind on my torso now. Once i get my new bars i think she'll feel fairly complete
Fairing looks great mate. I might end up doing the same. Do want to try those risers too. I don't think I'll need more than 2 inch higher for my bike as even stock seems comfortable at present. Cheers
Just forked out for this fairing mate, your video convinced me :) probably take a few weeks to get to me in Sydney. Ordered some 2" risers too. Rock on!!!
roarrage Thanks! I have a set of 2" riser extensions (Made by L.A. Choppers for 1.25" bars) installed under the stock risers for a total of about 7.5" of riser height. Still using stock brake line, clutch cable, and wiring. This is as high as you can go though before you'll need to lengthen cables/lines.
thanks for the quick reply, do you think the stock cables could take an over all 8 inch rise height? if not where abouts did you get the extended bolts? -Thanks again mate
roarrage I've heard of some guys going to 8", but it requires you to reroute the clutch cable. There are how to articles about that on the harley forums if you look hard enough. 2 additional inches are as high as you can go with stock cables without rerouting anything. I went to a hardware store, matched my thread pitch and diameter, and just bought grade 8 stainless bolts that were 2 inches longer than the stock ones to install my riser extensions.
rich v It blocks some wind to the chest area. Still clean airflow to your helmet area for me, without any buffeting (I’m 6’1” for reference). Definitely not a touring windshield by any means, but it did a better job than I thought of deflecting wind.
Taylor Eldridge Thanks! They are the stock bars with 2" riser extensions under the stock risers. The stock risers are 5" or so, plus my 2" extensions. So about 7" overall riser height.
Nice man, I pick my 2017 up next week, I just had a question about the clamps around the forks that attach to the bracket are they just an adjustable clamp that fits the 49mm fork.
Mike Gilbert Yes. There are 4 of them. You have to adjust them to the right heights to make them fit the fairing brackets just right. Not too bad, just takes a bit of time. Pretty easy install!
I know it’s been 7 years but you’re not supposed to trim anything. You’re supposed to buy the headlight extension from them when you order the fairing.
At the time, they did not make a fairing that would accommodate the size headlight retaining ring that was on the LRS (it was slightly thicker than what was on the street Bob and Low Rider). You had to trim the inner part of that fairing to make it work with the headlight extension block. I’m sure they make one that will work at this point with no modification.
I live in Columbus too!! Hope to see you out. Ride safe!!
Looks cool_ getting one for my bike_ appreciate video
Wow I love those dual disks front and back!
looks really good cant wait to see the bars.
Hope it fits with my tall apes I got one on order I need the small deflection on the chest to help me out as I’m a big fat bloke and struggle after a wile on the road in the wind
Good luck, hope it worked out for you!
Would be intresting to see if it would fit my 2019 breakout 114 i think the forks are the same width 49mm ?
They might make a mounting kit for your application, but you would have to check. Memphis shades sells the fairing and mounting kits as separate pieces.

Can you leave a link where you purchased the small bag on your handle bars?
That is the Molle Bar Bag from Deadbeat Customs. Just google that name and it’ll come up. I have another one of those on a Fat Bob too. Great bag.
I’ve been wanting to get this. Does the screen comes in different colors or just that brown tint?
As far as I know, it just comes in the dark smoke tint.
The bike looks great. Do you know if it will fit the sportster superlow 2015?
J P I'm sure it will. You'll just need a hardware/mounting kit for a sporty.
Cbus, thanks for the upload, I've been looking into this same fairing for my ride as well. How is the wind buffering out on the highway? Thank you
I never had any issues with buffeting. Just kept a little wind off the torso area and my helmet was still in clean air.
Dude! It looks great man. I'm thinking about getting one for my Iron
kidluk Thanks! You'll definitely dig it. This one or the cafe fairing from Memphis Shades would look killer on an Iron. 👍
Do you find it makes a fluttering noise at higher speeds ?
Jeffrey Lavergne I don’t recall having that issue, no.
From Cleveland, going on a big trip soon (9,000 miles). Would you recommend this to reduce wind from the stock fairing?
Richard Golias This fairing isn't what I'd consider a touring fairing for sure, but it definitely offers more wind protection than the little stock one. Definitely not as much wind protection as a full windscreen though.

What height is the fairing?
John Davies From the top of the headlight to the top of the fairing is 9”.

hey boss you think by trimming that back i can get fairing close to flush with light?
dandurag It won't be flush, but definitely closer than you see in this video. In order for it to be completely flush, you'll need a headlight extension block as well.
Cbus Low Rider thx dude...gonna add laminar lip also!

Thanks! It didn’t affect the wind to my head. Just took a little bit of wind pressure off my torso area.
I got mine on Thursday.. I just wish the headlight didn't sit so far inside of the fairing.
Yeah, you may want to get a headlight extension block and possibly trim that headlight housing on the fairing if you have any fitment issues. Should be able to get it to sit pretty flush.
Nice bike! One Question, wich mounting kit with trigger lock do you order for your bike?
Uwe Leupold Thanks! The trigger lock kit I used was the one for a Street Bob.
Cbus Low Rider. Do you have the order number of this item ? Thanks. Greetings from Berlin Germany to US
Uwe Leupold I don't have the part number on hand, but I just went through Revzilla.com and selected the kit for the street bob model. I know it'll fit the FXDL, FXDB, and the FXDLS.
Thank you. Today I install the Gauntlet. It fit perfect.
Thanks for the review Cbus! Is the wind protection significantly better than the stock fairing?
Bill C It is definitely better than stock. It isn't as good as a touring style windscreen would be, but definitely an improvement.
Hi Cbus,
Just installed my Gauntlet, Looks great ,out for a tryout tomorrow!!
Another question if you do not mind...what is the exhaust you are running?

Trevor Nayda Nice! Hope you enjoy it. The exhaust is a Bassani Road Rage 2 Mega Power.

Trevor Nayda Will do! Ride safe!
Hi Cbus, sorry to bug you again but is the manufacturer product no. for the exhaust - 1D12RB.
Cheers
Trevor Nayda Yes, that's it. Looks like Revzilla.com has it on closeout too!
looks awesome on your bike! what handlebar bag is that?
Steve Thanks! The bag is from Deadbeat Customs. It's their molle bar bag in black.
Hey man! Getting my Gauntlet here in a few days. We are about the same height, did you experience any helmet buffeting? Thanks man
I didn’t have any issues with major buffering and I always ride with a full face helmet. Liked that fairing quite a bit.
This sold me, ordered mine for my FXDLS today
Awesome! I hope you’re enjoying it!

Cbus Low Rider Awesome, cheers for the help
Do you know the height of the fairing
How tall is you handle bars?
With the riser extensions, they were about a 7.0”-7.5” rise.
How does the fairing hold up against the wind?
rich v It blocks some wind to the chest area. Still clean airflow to your helmet area for me, without any buffeting (I’m 6’1” for reference). Definitely not a touring windshield by any means, but it did a better job than I thought of deflecting wind.
Cbus Low Rider
Just ordered one. Thanks
Appreciate the feedback.
Where did you buy that steering bag?
Ricardo Kegel It's from Deadbeat Customs. It's the molle bar bag in black. I love it.
What kinda bars u got how tall? looks good
Taylor Eldridge Thanks! They are the stock bars with 2" riser extensions under the stock risers. The stock risers are 5" or so, plus my 2" extensions. So about 7" overall riser height.
Nice bro sick looking bike ! where did you get those hand grips from ? Thanks.
Amir Thanks! Those are Roland Sands Design Chrono grips.

Common Sense Camper Thanks! I'm just southwest of Columbus now in Galloway.
Ive been to Galloway several times. Nice area to ride for sure!
Thanks for this video
Looks good If run the 9" with that Fairing though
Looks Nice
B Murph is that what you did? I’m interested in how that looks
Dope 😎👍
Where’d you get the Tbar from? This bike is fucking sexy af dude
Thanks! Those are the stock bars and risers with some 2” riser extenders underneath from LA Choppers.
Just plain bad ass
Hit me up if you want to ride! I’m in your city and have a sportster
hit me up if you want to sell your stock fairing?
motobeard69 For sure, man. E-mail me at baker.aaron2191@yahoo.com . I could part ways with it.
How wide are your forks from the inside to inside?
I’m not sure exactly, it’s the stock front end on the ‘16 Low Rider S. Don’t have this bike anymore, unfortunately.
