as someone who grew up loving creepypastas and being constantly terrified by vaguely horrific youtube content, i cannot wait to see this film. congrats Jane on all the hype! we need more unique voices, especially in horror.

The dancing scene is going to haunt me forever, so... thanks to Jane and Anna for that -_-
Really wonderful movie. Like, the darker, evil twin of Bo Burnham's Eighth Grade.

Jane, this was one of the most touching films I have ever seen. I love films about alienation and loneliness - I feel like in that regard this is what films like The Turin Horse aspire to be. incredible how a film about not being able to relate to others can be so relatable

9:52 “I knew that this film would not be very good.”
    Yep. Nail. Head. Boom.
Anna did her best with the material. It just wasn’t great material… unless you like extravagantly long B roll and movies that are going at a snail’s pace the entire time.

@@hellyeah_ellajanei feel if you didn’t like it it wasn’t for you. i connect to this because i am trans and had a very specific experience as a teenager. this movie really speaks to that specific isolation and loneliness. not a lot happens in the movie, but it’s more a character study or a portrait of a person. if you want something fun and unchallenging go watch a slasher lmao

My girlfriend after the movie ends: "The real horror is the 90 minutes we wasted watching this".
Don't trust the rotten tomatoes critic review for this. 90% my ass, I'd give it a 3%.

Love this film. So intense I had to stop every 20 minutes and Savour the slow burn and the new form being explored. And fearing the ball might be dropped .. I'd delay stepping back in.. but each time was rewarding.. BRAVO the dp, director, actors, music, editing

It's okay, sweetie. There's a new Fast and Furious movie coming next year, that seems more your speed. No pun intended.
