Thanks for the informative video. I hate tent set up with sleeve to deal with. It is a hassle and at the same time little critters like spiders like to use of the sleeve opening to do their things.

I have a camping trip planned in July to OBX, NC to do some camping on the beach and I'm starting to look into tents. How do you think this would hold up in sand and with possible strong winds? Thanks!

      Hi Jair,
One of our guys took the Trail Ridge to (very windy) Iceland last year. You'll definitely want to use the guy lines to secure the windward side (toward the side the wind is coming from) and you may want to reinforce the stakes (leave some weight in the tent on the windward corners, especially when you're out). But then you should be good to go. As always, using a footprint will help preserve the base of the tent from abrasion,. wear and tear. Have a great trip and say hi to the Outer Banks for us!

How long does it take to pitch this tent?
Is it easily pitched by one person?

    • @Enwild

One person can easily pitch this tent in anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Thanks for watching!

Hi, so, I'm going on a week long camping trip later this year (early fall). I am considering this tent or the Marmot Halo 4p. How do these compare as far as the quality of the products? How well will they hold up rain or shine, or wind? of the two, which one has walls that are more vertical? Thanks :-)

Thanks for the question. Both tents will be waterproof and will hold up well in wind. The Halo 4P will have more vertical sidewalls and is going to feel more roomy. the materials of the Halo 4P are a bit more durable overtime. You can't go wrong with either tent!

How does this compare as far as fabric quality to the marmot limelight 4?

Here are the fabric deets of both tents:
      Marmot Limelight:
      Canopy: 40D No-See-Um-Mesh
      Sidewalls: 68D 100% Polyester Taffeta
      Floor: 68D 100% Polyester Taffeta 190T 2000mm
      Fly: 68D 100% Polyester Taffeta 190T 1500mm
      Kelty Trail Ridge:
      Wall: 68D Polyester and No-See-Um-Mesh
      Floor: 75D Polyester, 1800mm
      Fly: 75D Polyester, 1800mm
You can see the fabric denier is stronger on the fly and floor of the Trail Ridge, but it's close! The waterproof coating on the floor of the Limelight is higher. Overall, they are pretty close in weight, durability, quality, and waterproofness.
