Not gonna lie, kinda sad we're almost to the end. This song is a masterpiece and yalls intense vibing is all of us everytime we hear it lol. Need more sleep token very soon, never been so desperate for a band to release an album or even a single. I cannot get my husband to listen to ST so I've dragged my friends down the rabbit hole instead and it's absolutely a life long love with this band. yall are adorable!! I think the EPs are an introduction but I do know people who agree with you. I mostly say that because in order the only one to me that feels odd is the placement of Jericho because Nazareth and Jaws flow together rather well, not just because of the video content. So TMBTE (song) is him trying and sort of failing to not get sucked back into "eden/jesse" and if you recall (I hope you do the EPs later) in Nazareth there's lines that say " I'll see you when the wrath comes/ Knocking on your bedroom door with money/Building you a kingdom" i think wrath is either another dude who has more $ than Ves or this is the first time Ves realizes "eden/jesse" is rather $ driven, and to me the line about the paystub is linked (bc we already know there's alot of biting/ vore throughout ST) to "eden/jesse" only humoring him whether that be just having a conversation or possibly trying to strike up something romantically again that she/they are really just after money and Ves is saying heck no. And this song is kinda like Ves saying "I miss when I had no $ and you were mine/ we were more innocent none of the bad had happened yet" which as we all know they had other issues and there's other lyrics that from other songs I could bring up but for me TMBTE and Nazareth are linked because of that line in particular because it is rather out of place. But thing about the phone calls from people always confused me, are we talking about eden/jesse (like in euclid) or if this a fourth wall break if you will and Ves is saying a critique about music industry/ fans/ ppl who know he's famous ? Godmother is absolutely the deity sleep and the overall choice between sleep and Eden/jesse he'd rather go back to the before with eden (which seems unlikely to take place on multiple levels). There's alot happening in this song, i could write essays on every album, I'd go back to college if someone did a class in psychology/ literature breakdown of some kind lol
I know the compulsion! Great theory btw! My understanding from the lurking and reading I have done is that the video clip for Jaws is actually the clip for Nazareth, but something about the release schedule was no good so it was re-edited to fit jaws? Try watching it mutated and play Nazareth :) - Dave
Sussannn "tolerating" pantera. Lol how dare u sussan 😂😂 I just always understood "flesh for paystub" to mean he won't give away anything to her for free anymore. Lol. Tit for tat kinda thing. Maybe i'm oversimplifying. Lol. I love this song too, one of the first ones i heard, and at that point i didn't love Vess vocals yet, but loved the instruments and the screaming at the end. I think the birds add to the reasons y i love this song too. Lol just love listening to those birds 🖤 i also love the line "no amount of love will keep it around if we don't choose it", coz yeah we always gotta choose to love, for love to stay, appreciating the littlest things our partner does for us, choosing to forgive the not so nice things 🖤 well, for those reasons, it's #2 for me. Just above high water (which used to be #5 and switched it with the previously #3 blood sport). Levitate is cemented at #4 i guess. And i suppose yous know what's gonna be #1 for me 😂 Echoing what everyone else is saying, pls still continue the ST vids, even outside the main trilogy 🤞🤞🤞
Thanks for taking the time (again) to share your thoughts on the song and video! We appreciate ya! I think I mentioned in another comment somewhere, we have a set of videos for a new series we want to do next. But we will squeeze in some things like the ST comic and ofcourse some new videos once a new album comes out. - Dave
@@angryroads haha was just hoping a bit more push might get you to go "oh efffit alright more ST it is" LOL. ohhh, i didn't get the comics coz shipping was same amount of the book and i'm not yet sure if this ST obsession i have is "not just a phase", but interested what's in it and your thoughts 😊
Wow, can't believe we are so near the end!! It's kinda sad in a way. Or do you plan to do the same for the EPs, standalone singles, and the extra tracks on the Deluxe version of Sundowning? Look forward to your analysis of TMBTE. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️
Thanks so much for your support through the journey! We really appreciate it :) We have plans for a next series - but to be fair its not music related? We will revisit ST with different releases and the comic etc for sure. - Dave

@@angryroads lol its fine sussan, was just poking fun at you. We all have our preferences, that's why ST caters to a lot of us ☺️
