keeping matt is kinda hard, you must disagree to go to the firetower otherwise he shoots it right away.. dumb choice by the devs, should have put a shoot/dont shoot the flare input at that moment like emily's

To be honest, some of these deaths are kind of dumb from the choices you're given. For example, Matt has to disagree with Emily at the fire tower, but still have Emily give Matt the flare gun in order for him to have it but fire off a flare. The only way for Matt to save the flare gun is by having him disagree with going to the fire tower, but still have Emily give him the flare gun. Who would actually expect this to impact the outcome THAT much? (it just made no sense that disagreeing on going to the fire tower would decide whether he shot the flare or not). Then when the fire tower fell, you HAD to choose to jump to safety as Matt in order to survive. Who the hell, in the right mind trying to save every character, would even think about abandoning Emily? Then after that it would literally lead to Matt's death because he tried to do the right thing??!! The game literally wants you to be selfish as much as possible, and punish you for actually thinking logically. It just feels really cheap and dumb to me.
I wanted to save every character except Emily fuck that bitch. Plus it was clear there was no way he could save her so I just left her there.

I mean she actually did really well compared to other gameplays, she played pretty smart at the end where everyone was telling her to run. That kinda stressed me inside.
Then I must be more fucked up than her. When I played only 3 people survived. 😅

I think it's so sad how so many people cheered when Emily fell. Yeah, she was mean, but she was super stressed out - nobody deserves to die because they were being bossy. And to everyone who said it's just a joke, jokes are supposed to be funny, not sick

@@bigbunchofcereal5040 maybe it was because Emily was very bitchy at the start, other characters made a mistakes too but first impressions are really important. Ashley, the most popular and liked was maybe even a bigger bitch than Emily at some points, the problem is you didnt saw Ashley being a bitch the first you saw her, and since you already started to like her you kinda overlooked the fact she was acting like a bitch.. Emily on the other hand seems to be really smart with great survivor insticts (though she sometimes panics and have no idea what to do) and she also seems to be loyal in a way I cant really describe, but is a caring person after all. Shame is most of people dont see that because everyone just gets the bitchy impression from the start and only notices when she do something bitchy. Basically opposite of Ashley. When Ashley does something something dumb people overlook it. When Emily shows caring side, they just ignore it.
By the way if you bought the game before it came out you get a nice scene with Matt and Emily before the bad things start to happen, so quite early in the story, which shows the more caring side of her, maybe thats why I see her as a very likeable character and a good person overall
Typical twitch chat, they'd literally wish a painful death on any character that they don't like then hide behind the reasoning that it's okay because these people aren't real but at the same time they'll immediately act all self righteous and vindictive when a fictional character they like is being criticized.

That's why Em's my fav character in this, she's bitchy but she pays it off by being smart asf. If it was another character in her position (besides Mike), they'd probably start freaking out. Instead, Em maintained her composure and tried to escape without making too much noise
Watching these types of gameplay makes me anxious oh god but still just watched it till end lol
