- Patrick has probably done more than anyone else in the West to popularise the breathing techniques of the late Russian doctor Konstantin Buteyko.
Not only can Dr Buteyko’s techniques radically change the lives of people with asthma but, as Patrick explains in this video, they are relevant to anyone interested in getting the most out of their health.
In this interview Patrick discusses the scientific reasoning behind his own Oxygen Advantage techniques and why they work.
Here’s a link to Patrick’s book The Oxygen Advantage:

Love when Patrick talks about people needing to learn how to not think. It is very true. It can be very hard to quite the mind sometimes but it is a worth while practice.
We're asking our children and our students to concentrate... but we never show them how. Thanks to people like Patrick and Tom awareness is growing. And I have found my mission in life too :) Thank you Tom for your videos !
Thanks Sandrine, so glad it’s helpful!
Looked up the book draw breath on Amazon and it looks really cool! Very unique and creative. I have so many books I want to read right now lol. This one went on my list :)
Thank you Paul! I really hope you enjoy it!
Great channel !!!
Thanks Rodrigo!
Great Channel:) I watched the video with Dan today and the one with pat and Richard Brown. They were both really interesting. Love Patrick! Walking breath holds have really helped me a lot with my anxiety and allows my mind to quite. My Bolt score has improved a lot since I began doing his breath exercises.
Thanks Cyber Hugs, that’s really wonderful to hear how effective Patrick’s methods have been for you!
@@AriaBreath I would like to learn more about pranayama practices. Anyone you would recommend looking up for learning?
@@AtypicalPaul I would recommend reading 'The Breathing Book' by Donna Farhi or 'Asana Pranayama Mudra " by Swami Satyananda.
@@AriaBreath great, thank you very much 😊
