God damn I just wanna say the man who plays lord walder frey is such a good actor like when he comes back as arya portraying him it was a 10/10 perfomance
I love this video I am sad that they don't explore it much at all in the show. its such a bigger deal in the books. like people say it was wrong for robb to trust walder but he didnt and catlyn and him didnt really leave their guard down until they received guest right. And even then Robb had a number of guards who didnt drink and kept an eye out during the feast because they were especially not expecting a betrayal on the large scale of the red wedding. And like it seems in the show it is more a northern thing whereas in the books its important and big in the south aswell. I love the concept of guest right and i am sad of its downplay in the show
To be fair, the farmer who takes Arya and the Hound in is not a northerner. He is from the Riverlands. Yet he expresses his disgust at the sacrilege that Walder Frey has committed. It is possible that the showrunners realized that they underplayed the Guest Right aspect in the Red Wedding episode, and sought to remedy this with the inclusion of that character.
The Old Gods had their vengeance, all right. The Freys and Boltons might have wielded the knives, but the Old Gods knew who put those knives in their hands. The Lannisters. And now....... There are no Freys to Stand Together. There are no Boltons whose Blades Are Sharp. There are no Lannisters to Hear Them Roar.
AryaForce I think she must have found out through either gossip on her travels; or from that play she saw that showed all the events that had happened in Westeros (where she was meant to kill the actress but didn't)
@@TheRoguePrince0 but he didn’t kill anyone did he? Besides how many young lords and ladies broke marriage pacts without violating Guest Right under their roofs? The Freys had the opportunity to solve the problem behind closed doors but they can’t preach about honor with the heinous act.
They can lie to themselves and their minions, they can claim that they haven't a qualm, but they never can run from nor hide what they've done from the eyes, the very eyes of the Old Gods of the Forest.
