I run this game again with the ps5 controller at pc and is really great, runs in Ultra and really amazing for a game with so many time , i hope they update or rebuild this game or even do The Run 2 :)
This one was kinda good, of course, nothing compared as Underground series and Most Wanted (2005). But it was acceptable. Better than the bad acting of 2015
I feel what this was missing was more focus on WHY Jack was doing what he did and kinda bringing in to the world like how in Underground you get to know more of the racing scene in that city as you keep going or how in MW (2005) you have a clear defined goal and proper motivation.
i love everything about this game. the cinematic visuals, the story, the game mechanics... its like interactive movie. don't care about the hate, but this is one of my favorite game of all time

As it should be. Race. Big cash. Main character - has big chances to win. And that's it. We don't need one more Fast and Furious game with shyamalan twists - no. Just make a good contest for racing, anything else is excessive. And now about gameplay. For my opinion - it's the most realistic "non-realistic" gameplay. It's strange sentence, so I will explain. There are two types of gameplays in NFS. Pure grip (the best example is Most Wanted) and "drift or fucking die" (any NFS after Carbon). And any true NFS fan will choose the first one. However, there is one thing I didn't like in Most Wanted - I could literally go around any corner, while my car went on 200m/h. However, it still worked. Maybe because gameplay let us crash in police cars with no scratches. But it wouldn't work in The Run, for example. The reason why people was hating this game was caused by the fact, that you need (Surprise, Surprise!) SLOW DOWN when you are going to go around a corner. And this is why this game has the most realistic "non-realistic" gameplay. And that's why I really liked it. When you get used to the physic - you will feel the vibe of this game. And even Most Wanted wasn't such fun for me as The Run. I'm not telling that MW was worse or better - no. These are completely different games. I just want to tell you, that The Run was much better than you remember. P.S.: best soundtrack in the whole NFS too.
I would not say the best,but its a good NFS in it's way. The fact yhat you can interact with you character its very fun and doesn't give you that strange feeling of anonymous non talking guy like in Carbon or MW. I just love when Jack is out of the car and I have to handle it. The engine on the cars is a very downside of the game. Many cars'emgine sound like vacum cleaners ,lets just face it. On some cars,the engine is very quite. I mean,the handling of the cars is realistic ok? Why not the engine sound?? Many ppl complain that career is too short and they are right,but why such a big problem where you have The Challenge series mod?? Many peoplel forgrt about it .I like the story. No drama and gangsta bs like in the past titles. Just a mission to accomplish and take the money. The gameplay doesn't become boring ,thats because you can switch your difiiculty to hard, thats why the implementing of dificulty was such a good feature for this game. Gameplay was fun for me,the cutscenes are just briliant . It let you fel like you are in a movie. The physic of the cars is somehow bad for many. The cornering is very hard in most of the cars,somehow I didn't like it. Customization was also a big turn of for many players,but not for me. Customization should't be taken so serious since many cars in the game looks good in there own stock look. With the downsides and good sides,I will give this NFS game a 9. Of course,MW and Carbon nostalgics will scream Im very wrong ,but I really don't care. The gameplay for me was fun amd thats all that matter.
I feel you man. I felt the same way when I first played it. And I played it all night. I really loved the handling of the cars and was a little surprised when people didn’t agree with me. It makes sense that some people like games where you just put the peddle to the metal and forget. I like finessing the game by mastering the delicate controls. I found the game very short though. Could’ve been a little longer.

No, every other game runs perfectly. Now I've just installed NFS Rivals that I had for some time, and It works perfectly. Can't believe how terrible graphics are on ultra though. Everythings jaggy and ugly. The run looks so much better

I've played undercover and pro street to understand how Ryan ended up in the situation he was in, I honestly think that Jack might be of some type of 'reincarnation' of ryan. as of now I don't know the whole lore, but IF nsf devs manage to make a sequel that explains everything, then that's probably and extra 10 million in EA's pocket

Btw the mission skyhammer in NFS Payback is a reference to The run's chopper missions ? Cause they have the same thing, get out of the spotlight and run forom the chopper but NFS Payback the chopper fry the ECU of the engine but in The run the chopper is shooting the car
