COFREEN - Concepts for using reed biomass
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 гру 2011
- During the implementation of then COFREEN project scientists discovered that it is important to arrive at complex solutions. Solutions where reeds are cut locally for thatching while residue is used for heat insulation blocks and fuel materials. Due to the problematic handling of reeds it would not be useful to work only within one or another area of use.
The key benefits from the reed processing would be increasing the biological diversity of the environment, the use of a biological, natural material and facilitating employment of local farmers. - Наука та технологія
Fantastic video thank you to those who made it 11 years ago !!!
Too cool. Just wish I wasn't living in the desert with very limited water.
I think thatched roofs are gorgeous! I hear there can be a fireproofing substance but is the substance non toxic and does it degrade the material faster?
I can't wait for the only Economy that matters is resource based and not a monetary profit economy.
At 15:37 " Latvian scientists add xxxx to reed " I can't understand what do they add to reed to improve briquette quality. Can anyone help ?
The ashes leave a substance similar to saltpeter? Doesn't that make it a fertilizer?
