  • With the crankcases bolted together, work continues on the starter clutch and alternative, the gear shift and engine covers. But as often happens all is not plain sailing with this engine build.

    Have you abandoned the project ? I can't find the rest of the build on your channel

      Not abandoned, just on hold for now, though still building the engine. I talk about it and its problems in the recent Projects Overview vid from 12 days ago

      I am planning my own rebuild ( first ever ) your videos are well made and help a lot to understand how things are before actually taking appart my own engine

      @@eliotts_garage I will be doing a few more vids on the Z1000A1 engine build soon, and also the GPz750 engine build for this years project. Hopefully will be able to work on the 750 engine later this week. The hardest part is dismantling an engine with all its seized bolts etc, then for me at least its fitting the block over the pistons.. that's next with the Z1000A1..

    hi so how did you cut your hand/finger/s bet it was that engine.

      Yep, didn't even notice at first, as it was so cold. Earlier I was using a scalpel to scratch off the last of the old paint from the kickstart cover, so must have caught my finger.. was but a scratch lol..
