Perfect for freezing too. I make double the quantity of this in a big tin, then cut it into eight portions for freezing. Ideal for work lunch where you can reheat it in the microwave, and add salad.

I'm not sure she legally should be allowed to call this lasagna, but I'm sure it tastes good.
Lasagna is just the name of the pasta. You can do whatever you like with it cooking-wise.
Mary didn’t call it Lasagna alla Bolognese so she hasn’t broken any rules!
What Times Dinner ?
I can't use mushrooms as my dad is allergic and I can't stand them, yet it looks as if the mushrooms add much of the bulk of the recipe. Any suggestions for a substitute?
Maybe roasted bell peppers? Could also add sun dried tomatoes, carrots, celery, shallots, etc. to give it some bulk

Because she used lasagne pasta.
She didn’t claim it was Lasagne alla Bolognese.
My grand parents where Italian and would have laughter at this feeble attempt. As for serving as soon as it comes out the oven is rubbish. Every one knows it should sit fir at least 10 min before cooking. That’s why hers feel apart. Stick to your English Cakes Mary
