Easily an interview that I'll surely comeback to in future when feeling bored or low. Too good, and the casual nature of the directors work wonders. Calling Vignesh and Nelson together was definitely a super move
This is what a healthy round table is. Such a fantastic set of directors and BR handled it well. Nelson and Vicky are such a combo 😂 AL vijay, VP, arun, Sudha are accepting and spreading thier vibe. Undoubtedly the best round table 👏👏
I don't understand tamil completely. With subtitles it was one of the educational and fun interviews. Film companion has been like Bible for a lot of film makers. There is so take aways from every interview.

This roundtable meeting with all fantastic directors of our time, was really a treat to watch, their information, knowledge, humour or pulling legs. I got to know the names of many films which they mentioned in this video.. Will watch it soon.. Thank you!
As an audience, we dont mind whoever is the Director, if the film engages us, makes us gripping to the visuals and story, connects us then thats a good film and definitely we will like it.
@@akashmuruganandam1462 obviously everyone need some fun sometimes.. i also watched vetrimaaran, myskin interview but as i viewer i always love to watch Nelson interview.. so that is the answer
Probably the first time I saw the table turn against BR. The way he explained his perspective on film reviewing was commendable. Amazing how much you can learn when people stop caring about fame and just engage in deep conversations driven by passion.
The best group of people, I must say. Everyone is so skilled and yet no one is trying to preach anything. I love Tamil and Malayalam directors the most right now because, they are always curious and learning. I missed Lokesh and Mari Selvaraj in the mix, hope to find these two directors with others in another session like this at the end of 2022. And Nelson’s storytelling reminds me of my favourite writer, Humayun Ahmed’s storytelling. I wish you would watch some of his tv dramas and films as well to know what I am trying to tell, yes, he was not technically sound, but, i am thankful to Nelson to bring HA’s humour back to my life in a different way. Long live Tamil Films ❤️
It’s nice to watch your favourite directors talking passionately about film making. I’m waiting for a round table episode of Malayalam directors. Lots of love for #BR❣️
*Loved VP😇$ir's & Nelson😎ji's expressions counters throughout the conversation* *Ms.Sudha nailed her excellence of direction in Soorarai Pottru, Hat's of Sudha❤️Mam*
I was thinking same , but with some lost golden music directors - like Vidhyasagar, Bharadwaj, SA Rajkumar etc and their take on how modern music works.
Venkat Prabhu was the one who gave that fantastic negative shade to actor ! I still remember screaming Thala throughout the movie in the theatre for mangatha. Best FDFS ever 🤩
காமெடின்னா எப்டி வேணும்னாலும் எடுக்கணும்னு இருக்கக்கூடாது. அதுலயும் ஒரு discipline இருக்கணும். Great Nelson Sir. A nice message for today's students who go only with humour and least worried about discipline.
This is where Tamil cinema stands apart as a top-notch industry compared to other industries. Because their films are engaging and give us the utmost superlative theatre experience. Even if it is an art film, they are entertaining and keep engaging compared to any other film industry in India. Even Malayalam films are good, but the content is more of an art film and it is good to get knowledge for people who crave to understand the nuances of cinema. So, Tamil films are excellent films for average Indian sensibility who love art cinema with an engaging screenplay, where as Malayalam cinema is good for people who throng to the cinema for the artistic element of films and is good for OTT content films. So the ultimate winner for theatre experience is Tamil cinema by a large margin in India.👍
@@anoopa.1442 why does every single malayalam film has to be serious and artsy. prithviraj talked about this in one of his interview too. apart from jan-e-man i cant recall an out an out entertainer
It was a Super Fun Conversation to see all these modern day directors with old school experience in a single frame. The most expected conversation from a experienced ones..kathuvakula 1hr 18 min poiduchu.. what a lovely convo. Sudha Mam, an absolute gem. Hugs for BR for making this happen ❤️
1:00:44 - Glad that BR used the term ‘Directors who are women’ rather than using the term Women directors. Reminded me of his interview with Anjali Menon in which she clarified that it’s high time to stop using the term Women directors. Glad to see the change.
Nothing better than a Tamil directors round table, it felt like I was at a tea party. Nice & cozy
Venkat Prabhu is a legend, good to see he's getting the praise he is due.

I love this duo Nelson + Vicky🔥❤️😹. If Both made a film someday it'll be a banger😅👌
I don't understand tamil completely. With subtitles it was one of the educational and fun interviews. Film companion has been like Bible for a lot of film makers. There is so take aways from every interview.

As an audience, we dont mind whoever is the Director, if the film engages us, makes us gripping to the visuals and story, connects us then thats a good film and definitely we will like it.

Probably the first time I saw the table turn against BR. The way he explained his perspective on film reviewing was commendable. Amazing how much you can learn when people stop caring about fame and just engage in deep conversations driven by passion.
I don't think such a discussion in any other film industry will be so frank as This🤟🤟
This is one of the entertaining round table I have seen ..Vignesh Nelson Venkat - ultimate timings , Vijay ,Sudha- intellectual , arun- rocky
Having Arun Matheswaran among other commercial (predominantly) directors changed the whole complexion of the Roundtable
It’s nice to watch your favourite directors talking passionately about film making. I’m waiting for a round table episode of Malayalam directors. Lots of love for #BR❣️

*Ms.Sudha nailed her excellence of direction in Soorarai Pottru, Hat's of Sudha❤️Mam*
Please do roundtable with Music Directors too. SaNa, Pradeep, Sean Roldan and some good composers. 😇
I was thinking same , but with some lost golden music directors - like Vidhyasagar, Bharadwaj, SA Rajkumar etc and their take on how modern music works.

@@sanjusabu5488 more like pointless to you alone
This is a ridiculous and unnecessary comparison, you cannot generalize Malayalam cinema as "art films"...
