Thank you for this video. I needed double checking if what I do is right. My pedal board goes straight to the mixer through a DI. I serve in the church band as well.
We played a gig on 15 December, and I plugged my pedal board directly into the Mackie Mixer. Used standard guitar (instrument) cables. The Mackie was cabled to the speaker cabinets in the usual fashion, with quality speaker cables. No special device, no D.I. box, nothing. Worked great, and sounded fantastic.
I'm seeing this quite late, but I've been in the same situation. I appreciate your effort showing your set up. I noticed that you have the drive almost off on the Joyo AC Tone. I have the American Sound for the same purpose as you have, but I don't care for the drive tone on it. Is that your experience as well?
What about using the mixer out on a Bad Monkey? It has cab em. My Bassbreaker15 has the same XLR out feature as the Egnator, with the mute BUT the built in cab em sounds pretty terrible.
Any thoughts are how to plug something like Boss GTs or MEs straight to PA? No mixer just easy in and out. Is it as simple as adding a amp sim in between? Thanks
Hello , bro pleas help me I'm same like you I play in the church and I dont have effects pedals ,I just need to know how to connect my electric guitar directly into PA only for clean tone ,what do I need to use for that ,what pedal , I dont want any distors pedal ,I just want to use my electric guitar directly into pa , but I know using electric guitar directly into pa without any kind of pedals the tone is so poor. That's why I'm asking you , what do you suggest me for directly into PA SYSTEM only for clean tone nothing else. Thank you God bless you!!
@@edgar_dejesus In regards to the DI box how do you feel about the Donner Guitar Bass Passive DI Box and secondly the Zoom MS50G MultiStomp Guitar Pedal; I have been doing mix engineer stuff for a while but Ive decide I must have new instruments to get my production better going and so far I've figured this is the best bet. Zoom box to that DI box to an interface or future amps I may own. Lastly lol this is really lengthy but is it possible to email you a picture of a used guitar I am about to buy from a friend so you could come up with a price ? or even assess it. Very much grateful for a reply :)
What is not to much. You need to get it together before you make a video. Not to much. A little bit. Seriously. All you need is a good quality simple direct box
Why do you need pedals or an electric guitar to play in church? What ever happened to a choir? Did anyone ever ask the parishioners on their preference?
tchwiss Maybe the congregation lacks a group of talented singers, but has a talented guitar player that would like to serve in his church musically? Just one possibility.
Church has changed .a choir is great but having Inspiring music before and after a service is getting the message to a broader range .even youth as disconnected as they are these days come for the music and stay for the message . Our church sing along as loud as any choir . I would love a choir though . Along with the jams , man that’s a good deal. Great video too I have this issue now as we speak I’m learning that my rig onstage is very bad as is. I will get the combo of HK Red box and that ACtone. I tried the behringer sansamp thing it doesn’t do clean . Thank for the video

Why is your Joyo AC tone black instead of the usual yellow?
Will this sound good?

Use a Boss GE7 and you're Good
No demonstration?

This video literally shows what to use? Did you comment with watching it?
Joyo American sound is all you need if connecting if PA takes a jack input. If XLR only then a cheap passive DI box will be required also.
I used a BOSS GT-100 multi effects pedal and plugged it right into the PA, nothing more, and it sounded great.
I got zoom g5n can i do the same?
@@EchoVerse243 I dont see why not.
so do put your DI Box at the end of the pedalboard or Before the Pedalboard
Bret Marzec at the end
hey man cool video is it possible to get some information on some decently prized fx pedals etc? or are you very busy now a days :)
paul campbell joyo is the way to go

Literally looking at this in prep to play in my church band 😂
Um, there's no demo, just talk. Need to show how they sound.
God bless u Hermano in Jesus's Name. I have two girls as well! Thanks for the wonderful video. Keep them coming! Like and Sub
Is that a Passive DI?
Jerish Jose yea
Thats an "Active Di box". Passive di boxes dont need phantom power fyi.
thanks for talking thru your whole video
I thought you had to have a cab simulator pedal to run direct
Thats what the redbox is, tech is super old now. Get a Cab Zeus, they are pretty cool with a good
preamp
@@edgar_dejesus thanks
put some shoes on dude jeez
wear shoes.
he's at home
Much talk no demo..
You are correct. Way too many of these guys that just want to flap their gums instead of show how it works.
@@tbone9347 No demo because the sound quality its shit !!!
Trendy ass Altoids box 🙄
If you can stop shaking your hands maybe i can see what the hell is that red box!
