Bro, I live about 300 yards from where you launched, and I saw 2 dudes that morning fishing in the canal I live on - in heavy rain, and they were SLAYING small Snook.
I was proud of them for their catch-n-release.
I wish fish preferred feeding in ideal fishermen weather. lol
    Tight Lines bro!

The snook sure have made a comeback in the past two years, that's for sure.

Thanks for the video, Jeff. So sorry to see the arm not getting much better. I was out on Friday also, rained off and on all day….fortunately I did very well, I found 2 pretty good areas with surprising amount of bait around. With reds and trout mixed in., trout were 17-27”. (Yes I actually caught one 27”!). Total 6 reds on the small side 16-23”. Just blind casting though.

Sounds like a good time to me! Glad you found cooperative reds too. I think a couple of those I saw might have eaten had I made better casts with my left arm, but I did get the one to bite on a blind cast. It just didn't stay hooked up very long.

Thats rough having to learn to cast with your other arm. Hard to train your body to do something different after years of doing it one way. I just wanted to mention a lure that my wife and I have had tremendous success with over the years on the ML and NIR. I saw in the video you tried the chugger from MirrOlure. We have had the best success on the Storm Chug Bug. I don't know why but it has beat other chuggers hands down including the MirrOlure. It is my wife's favorite surface lure. We have found that it works best when fishing it slower than a walk the dog style lure. Hence the reason why I don't fish it much. She has more patience than me. She has caught a lot of big trout and reds on it. Good luck.

I certainly appreciate the recommendation Ron! I'll be sure to give it a try. Hopefully, in time I'll be able to cast and retrieve with both arms, otherwise I'm going to have to relearn fly casting as well.
