"Biggest automatic that wasn't a novelty". Bring on the Dessert Warrior!
"BRING ON THE BROWNIES!"
I swear, that cricket is dead now. It continued to chirp for about 3 weeks worth of uploads before I finally found it. It is thoroughly deceased, I assure you 😅
I absolutely loved mine. My wife, not so much. Especially having 2 kids under the age of 5 around. So I gave mine away. Super awesome though! I was shocked how well it carries. And I agree with you with the scale material. I honestly thought it was a hardened plastic the entire time I owned it, which didn't bother me I was fine about thinking it was plastic. Later when I was looking something up and somebody mentioned it was aluminum I was just like "ohh my God I totally forgot they are aluminum". Just from the moment I first picked it up I immediately thought "polymer" and never gave it another thought. Lol so strange how that texture does that. Great review! I think this knife is incredibly fun and offers incredible value for what it is.
I probably liked mine more than my wife also
@@dallastimebandits hahahaha!
Just got mine today and love it. It is my fourth one. The one I bought before this one is called the Black Widow.
You have shallow pockets I think. I wear several different kinds of jeans and carry the largest Talwar and have no issues with pocket depth.
Bade Hq installs the spring here in the US after importation. I got one with a weak spring and customer service told that’s why when you get the knife the box seals are broken. I replaced it with another one that fires well.
Do they add weak springs to all of them, or stronger ones?
@@ihavekalashnikovyoudomath9275 I’m sorry, but I don’t know the answer.
I got the blacked out one too. Surprisingly pocket friendly. Somehow I got serial # 0033.
Nice video. It's not THAT big. Now the CS Espada is a Big knife. lol. I'm in Wichita, Ks and carry a variety of sized folders daily. (Not the Espada, though) I do prefer a blade around 3.5 - 4 inches. 3 inch is my low limit for a folding lock blade. But then I always carry VSA Climber or a Huntsman for a small knive/multi-tool. I also carry the drop point 3.25 inch blade Kalashnikov some times, but more often the 4 inch CS clip point Voyager.
Thank you for the great review. I Really NEED this knife........ because it's cool.
I believe it's 74 not 14, for Automat Kalashnikov 74, after the AK 74. Nice video on XXL version of my favorite auto beater/hardwork.
Ik this is an old vid, but I just ordered my xxl klash, I can’t wait lol. Haven’t been able to treat myself recently do you being broke af but I finally had some extra spending money😁 can’t wait!
I'd like one in the dessert warior coulors.
I believe there is an xxl in desert warrior
@@sauce1302 he said dessert ;)
Chocolate brown and vanilla. Yum!
They just announced one! Coming out 2/8/2022
This comment aged well. Just snagged mine
Blade ops also has a boker KALASHNIKOV sub
For the blade play ive always just remove pivot apply some MEDIUM lock tight reinstall apply lubricant to pivot and slow tighten until you find the sweet spot no play but still fires out with speed and then once a month couple drops is oil of your choice in that thing should be gtg
I frequently carry a CS Holdout XL, CTS XHP or a Luzon XL. Both are larger.
I've owned 2 of these and have one now...
I carry it for mainly cheap self defense but also use it at work for the basics...
I have better quality knives and also am a licensed gun carrier , but for the price you can't beat it for size and functionality.
My main learning point with these is to remove the pivot and cut a screwdriver notch on the free spinning female side. My next learning point is to not use any loctite of any kind and just periodically check the pivot screw for snugness.
Verrrrry interesting.
I would carry that, as I don't like the regular 8+ inch versions of knives and regularly carry my 4.5inch blade Benchmade SOCP folder.
I just ordered the XXL Desert Warrior Bowie 4.75" blade, D2 steel. Copper blade with OD green handle
They also have the mini. So 5 sizes.
One thing I'd like to see with these types of knives is the normalization of jimping in the finger groove in the handle.
They should have named it RPK OR PKM. keeping with Soviet weopan names
They need a "Dishka" model with a 12in blade. 😮
I bought one a couple of weeks back - just to have. I don't think I'd ever carry it, but it's entirely possible to do.
PS: The biggest knife that I can comfortably carry is the Cold Steel Recon 1, but I typically carry something with a 3" - 3-1/2" blade.
Pulled the trigger on the drop point XXL. Great video btw!
I thought at first that the kalashnikov's curved clip improves the ergonomics so as to not get in the way. That is, until I bought one.
Can you please review the kizer sheepdog dlc black micarta
I own this knife. It has great action. It is not my daily carry but is in my car and is called upon for big jobs :)
It’s probably way too big for tiny 14 year old hands but I need one, I need one now.
I've had a few Kalashnikovs and after handling Protechs, Microtechs, etc I personally feel like it's money wasted. However if BHQ does the XXL on the Donut color I will definitely pick one up lol.
Hope you snagged one yesterday👀
There on sale right now $55
First of all, I had no idea that the Kalashnikov came in 4 sizes, I thought on,y 3! That said, I would never get the XXL because it’s too big for me, but the XL I definitely need to check one out! 👍🏻
"let me put my fingers where I want to"
- Dude holding a knife
Is this one made in Germany?
COULD YOU ZOOM THE CAMERA IN ANY FURTHER?
I got one in desert warrior; it’s big but, doesn’t look huge next to the CRKT Jumbones and Daggerr Vendetta
Shaq’s Hans would fit perfect I bet
I carry it because it's fun but it's definitely not my daily.
Was it sharp when you first got it?
I want to buy one but not if the quality is not there.
It has to be razor sharp out of the box.
The edge is perfectly acceptable for the blade geometry right out of the box. Give me an example of a knife you consider to be "razor sharp" brand new and ill tell you how it compares.
@@metal_complex For me, most Spydercos and Cold Steels are pretty sharp out of the box.
Which is definitely sharp enough. I have the tools and skills necessary to make them a mirror polished hair whittling edge, but that takes hours and most times, it's just not worth it honestly. I use multiple systems.
It isn't quite what I've experienced with spyderco and some cold steels, but I can definitely still shave arm hair with it 👍
@@metal_complex Thank you.
No prob
How many videos have you said Benchmede's Axis locks are known for their blade play?? I know you have handled BKC Axis locks. But I'm sure your opinion comes from other reviewer who says the same thing. Of course there has been an Axis lock knife with play. But to say they are common.....On the tightest lock up mechanism to date the Axis lock is rock solid. Maybe carry and use one some day. I get the impression you use very few of your knives. I still like you and your reviews. Just something I needed to say.
My opinion comes from the countless Benchmades I've handled. Literally dozens at this point.
Although automatics are not legal in my country (The Netherlands), I start to dream of a Boker Strike XXL tanto now!
Are full tang knives legal in the Netherlands? They're WAY faster for getting drawn and into "service". I see you have allowed your politicians to legislate on cosmetic appearances as we have in some aspects. Only we haven't let them disarm us yet.....but they're trying.....and I'm afraid they're going to back is into a corner.....then paint us as "fanatics" when we fight back. We already know the majority of our media would purposely and willingly go along with that.
It is cool....very much so.
Just your average cold steel
The only knife that can defeat the z-hunter
