Got this the start of third week of DF , i placed my self at the spawn point just before the reboot , then when the server came back up i killed it , odd thing was as i was sat there chatting it respawned about 10mins later then 5mins after that, could of been an early days glitch but worth keeping in mind if you are unable to find it all week long.

I went to spot in the video. And the bird was there. Easy kill, and it did drop the egg. Good video. Thanks.
Thanks got it on a first kill and instance change did help as well, just queue for some quest on the group finder until Zeneth appears 31.43, 63.79
