    How did you prep your lamb skin applicator to prevent shedding?

    Looks beautiful good job. What did you do from beginning of project did you use a drum sander or 20 inch orbital sander or a pole sander.

    On previous post y people they state that oil base polyurethane like what you used has a super harsh smell to it.
    Did yours? Did you use fans to help dry the floor or did you just open windows. Was this project done in winter or summer. Ty

      You’ll want good ventilation. Definitely recommend having warmer outdoor temps to help with that, especially if it’s a house that’s going to be lived in around time of finishing. The solvent smell will be very strong for the first few days. It’ll dissipate slowly after that. I’d say 2 weeks to not being a noticeable smell.

    You used a word, "screed" in a way that I have never heard it used. What exactly is it that you are talking about here?

    Thanks for posting this. Question, were you happy with the results of this brand (and I assume it's water based) now that some time has passed?

    I use the same poly and applicator and got a millions air bubbles? Did you run into that at all?

      Hop Along Johnny I did not. Not sure what would cause that.

      Do not apply pressure-just pull the applicator along to avoid pushing air into your film of poly.

    Do you always sand after the first coat?

    • @highlifeswisher
      @highlifeswisher  4 роки тому

      Jeff Martin yes, but you don’t have to with this polyurethane. You can apply another coat without sanding if you do it after it has dried at least 8 hours, but not more 10 hours.

    Use a 120 grit screen between coats...

      1st time hearing that..

      Ive done it before. Screens I dont really like because sometimes they can leave big circular marks. I wouldnt use it for the last coat. 240 sand paper I like better.

      DO NOT USE 120

    • @doyen86
      @doyen86 5 років тому

      @@robscott5735 exactly. Way too abrasive, I would even suggest going up to 320. You just want to lightly scratch it for the next coat to adhere.

    Stop posting videos that don't explain why and how you do it in details. They aren't educational, and therefore totally useless!!

      Victoria Park I totally agree, but can't promise I will never post a useless video again. Lol.

      It was very very useful to me, I am about to to my floor and I needed more info on this product and now I made up my mind because I saw proof that it really works. I wanted to see what it looks like too. Thank you very much.

      It is useful to those who quasi know how to do these type of things. The people that need step by step need to find a step by step tutorial. Nothing wrong with either method
