This is my favorite Fields scene. Saw it years ago. Some of it has been cut, but you get the idea. Of couorse it works so well because the audience knows Fields' character or type, while Burns doesn't.
Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's movie stars: George Burns, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Fay Wray from King Kong, Bing Crosby, Kay Francis and many more.
"Well, that's funny; it fits me perfectly." lol..
Fields was brilliant on half a dozen different levels. Greatly admired by nearly ALL comedians and comics and clowns.
W. C. Fields was the funniest man who ever lived👍👍
Two comedic Legends RIP
Never saw George Burns looking so young...
The entire skit is to set up the line - " I don't think I'll need it. " LOL
WC Fields' jokes were deep, funny and profound.
This is great, a young Burns and the master.
George made a good straight-man
The comedy of frustration.
I hope he found his sweater...and boots...and hat...
