Interesting application of Pareto, Professor. B’lieve I’m 60/40 old/new on guitar. Reflecting that during greatest growth years, I would push a new song every week, especially on harmonica. Might get out the timer & journal now. 🙏🏽🎶😎
I think I am 20/80, Professor. Once I have learned a song to the point I can play it repeatedly the way I like it, I am practically done with it -- I rarely play it again except to remind myself from time to time how to play it. Most of the fun is trying to learn new songs and techniques--fortunately, this takes me forever.
Wonderful advice Eric. I’m gonna start a practice journal. See how I do. After so long it’s time to bite the bullet and be more disciplined in my approach to playing. Thanks! JA
