Jimmy Barnes!! Yes!! Many have said he has one of the best male soul voices in the world today. We love him. Please do yourself a favour and check out more of his material, especially his early work with his band Cold Chisel. Jimmy uses a false cord vibrato technique typically seen in soul and gospel music and this combined with his insane range means he can pull off the best of rock, soul, and R&B songs. We love him down under. I’d suggest Cold Chisel Flame trees live at the Last Stand, or Jimmy Barnes any live performance of Driving Wheels.
This was when he went solo. He previously had a long career with the band Cold Chisel, who are about to do a final tour. Highly recommend checking out Cold Chisel.
🇬🇧 I was only introduced to both Jimmy & Joe about 2-3 months ago (& im 60!). They were singing "Stone Cold" (well, Jimmy was singing & Joe was doing his magic on guitar) & OMG! 🎙️🎸❤🎼🎶
I'm so glad you got around to doing this song there's just something about that just rocks your world Joe and Jimmy are at their best together that guitar just sings love your review ❤
Please react to more of Jimmy Barnes solo career and with his band cold chisel. Cold chisel are thought to be best Australian band ahead of AC/DC and INXS. Jimmy has done duets with INXS, Tina Turner and John Farnham. Jimmy sing “a change is gonna come” is excellent and all cold chisel songs are great ❤
SalvoG: is there anything else on this album you guys like Me: yeah the whole bloody album just pick one but you cannot go past The Last Frontier or Driving Wheels also Jimmy's band Cold Chisel are fire pick any song from their live albums The Last Stand, Swingshift or Ringside
Just like "Stone Cold", this was rerecorded for Jimmy's "30:30 Hindsight" album to celebrate 30 years as a solo artist after leaving Cold Chisel. This song was co-written by Jimmy and Neil Schon from Journey who performed the guitar work on the original song. The Hindsight album has quite a few great rerecorded hits from his early years. I would certainly recommend another track from the album called "Lay Down Your Guns" performed with the Aussie band The Living End. It is similarly filmed in the studio as "Stone Cold" was, and I'm sure you will enjoy it - ua-cam.com/video/U60ZSz2-D2I/v-deo.html.
It shows sometimes you can improve an old song with the right guitarist Joe is fantastic and Jimmy has been getting better with age just like a fine wine well that's what they say not that I'm a wine drinker
They are both Phenomenal, You must go see Bonamassa live! Hear me now, believe me later, GO! and as many have said, check out Lazy by those 2, amazing...alnong with Stone COld! Keep on brother
I think the original has his wife, Jane, in the music video. Jimmy is my favourite artist, and his band Cold Chisel is my favourite band. He is great at soul, blues, rock and gospel. ❤❤❤
The album version is so much better. This is in a period where Jimmy's voice was rough. Ps seen jimmy 22 time live and love the man but the was a period where his voice was shot

Sammy_dog, right you are!!! The entire album is FIRE!!
You gotta check out Jimmy Barnes doing a duet with Tina Turner “simply the best”
Jimmy Barnes live is the loudest performer I have ever heard. He loud but it's powerful.
Last Frontier is a great song but do yourself a favour and listen to the version off the Barnestorming live album. It has a brilliant intro.
Great voice with Barnes & another og guitarist, Bonamassa. Awesome pair up.

That’s a local Hong Kong actress or model. It’s not his wife.
@@frankie3041 really. I thought it looked like her.
Please do more Jimmy!

I'm a big Joe fan!

This video is a travesty. Looks like an ad for Coco Chanel or something, not a music video. The original video is the one to go for.
The original is better
