I promise I am NOT a paid or unpaid spokesperson, I just Love Joe, has been such a journey and everyone owes it to themselves to see him live, will add so much to your life, amazing..I saw him first in Melbourne Fl., I somehow accidentally got front row seats for next to nothing, the next year was in West Palm Fl, then at the Florida Theatre here in Jacksonville, Fl, then the next year I drove up to Knoxville Tn. to take a good friend of mine to see him, it never gets old! DO it got YOU, go see him! :)

Alan Smith.....saw him play at the Starlight Theater in Kansas City last year and I totally agree with you! His studio work is great, but to see him live and in-person is absolutely incredible!!

But fuck me, that's an abysmal video.
The original version from the 80’s is better overall than this version. Joe Bonamassa is a great guitarist but the guitar work from Neal Schon on original version is WAY better.
Just found the original. I concur. Jimmy's voice was much better, and Schon's guitar work was so much more definitive to the song. Bonamassa is bad-ass, no doubt, but what Niel does with it is so much more.
@@joeliska313 Schon has a great tone on the original version. He’s one of the best for playing melodic solos in my opinion. And Jimmy Barnes was much younger then. He’s still a great singer regardless of his age, just different.
Jimmy over-sang his own song. LOL. Joe B. made this version of the song better even with Jimi trying to over-sing Joe's extraordinary playing. Jimmy's ego couldn't handle it. LOL!

Don Thomas You'll have to get the original version of this song from the 90's. It was released as a top 40 single. I heard it for about a week then "poof"- it disappeared. Jimmy was younger and Neal Schon on guitar:) "I'm Still On Your Side" is an awesome piece of high energy music from the same album Freight Train Heart. Also heard Jimmy was a candidate for replacing David Lee Roth in Van Halen. Don't know what happened. He is SUCH a great singer!

What is the video?
Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes did to this song what Jimi Hendrix did to “All Along the Watch Tower”. Made the previous version completely irrelevant.
For those interested, this song is a remake of a version Jimmy Barnes released twenty odd years ago. He also got Journey guitarist Neil Schon to play lead. Have a listen as they are both very different. I always loved what Neil bought to the original tune, but I am also a huge fan of JB and he totally stamps his own take on this version.
