- "Fairytale" is an instrumental piece composed Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell that is the main leitmotif of the 2001 American animated fantasy comedy film “Shrek” . This film is loosely based on the 1990 children's picture book of the same name by William Steig. The song is used as the main theme for Princess Fiona throughout the movie.
