Just go for the fusion it is a 6 day champ training they are normally 4days at most I think for content you would want to get him. Keep up the good work 👏
Good on you for this, I really appreciate it when CCs speak up their minds and call out the BS when they see it. Also notice how the champ training starts exactly with the dragon tourney, and later the champ training tourney starts with FK tourney while the second dungeon divers starts 2 days before those two with no event or tourney to double dip in. This whole fusion was designed to completely drain resources, specially energy. Totally disgusting calendar. Easy skip for me as well.
You're 100% correct. It's a piss take. I can do this fusion, zero problem, as a free to play player, I'm just not sure I can be bothered. I usually do champ training for the lego book, but even that is a couple of thousand points higher than it normally is.

The point total needed for the champ chase was when I decided for sure to skip this champion. Plarium keeps upping the requirements to play this game, while also reducing the rewards (I'm looking at you soul stones).

I have not skipped a champ in the past 3 years, this my breaking point. 100% F2P and they have just been pushing to much lately, and I also want to hope a really good Halloween champ coming, but I don't think there will be one this year

It’s going to be a great 10 days of farming and levelling up food for next fusion. Best news are that we have at least 15 days free of fusions to prepare for the next one.
I was kinda leaning towards not doing the fusion anyway but being an Elf champ I was tempted. Having seen the pt requirement for this rare champ has made this an easy pass for me. Still also a bit resource broke right now as well so I defo won't be doing anything towards this. Better to build on what I already have than to waste so much getting a champ I probs won't use. You're not being too harsh. If they had put this same champ training after we had had the summon rush and champ chase, some of us would've had 1)a chance to pull the rare(s) from shards; 2) a chance to pull the epic(s) ; 3) Broadmaw, Relic Keeper and Razin fusion fodder which we could have leveled and ranked up and so gained champ chase points as well as champ training points. This is, as you've rightly described: a kick squarely in the teeth.
What makes a fusion difficult is not where they put the rares/fragments in champ training, but where they put them in summon rush and champ chase. What can also affect the difficulty is whether any events or tourneys can be skipped. 9350 points in champ training is meaningless if you already regularly go for the legendary book every champ training event (so twice a month), but more importantly champ training is one of two events/tourneys that you can prep for ahead of time and then complete it within an hour via the tavern. We regularly start fusions with an overlap of a training event/tourney and a dungeon tourney, so it's not very difficult to devote energy in the prior week to prepping all your food so you don't get energy bottlenecked. There is actually enough free daily energy to complete the 5-day champ training even if you start from scratch, but you don't have enough free energy to do a dungeon tourney on top of that. It is thus important to prep your food ahead of time.
I did Ukko because he is skinwalker and really good. I did not do Lonatharil and this one here because I don‘t really need them and it‘s way too much effort. It‘s always effort vs. personal benefit. I rather save up shards for guaranteed events … so much easier.
I am not doing this fusion. I generally don’t do fusions anymore only fragment collections. If the fusions were proper old school fusions using existing champs at both the rare and epic levels and the full spectrum of affinities at both rare and epic levels. But the fusion needs to be extremely compelling for doing these modern fusions because it is so much more resource intensive than fragment summons and will not allow you to bank it for the future champ chase or CvC event.
100% agree with everything you mentioned in this video. I was debating about doing this fusion earlier this week just cause it's a chance to get a legendary champ. The kit is cool, but not outstanding for me so I couldn't quite decide if I wanted to do it. As soon as I opened up this champ training event and saw the rare at 9K+ points, instantly knew I wasn't going for it. I even complete most champ training events for the lego book as I need to level food anyways, but no way I'm pulling shards or anything else for this fusion. Don't know what Plarium was thinking on this one...
I was passing on this fusion before the event details but LAWL what an outrageous amount of grinding required for this one. Good luck if you are going for her. Once upon a time I did the Astralon fusion as I only had one decent arena nuker at the time. The right fusion champ can definitely help your account if you are selective.

Spot on! I looked at that and made my decision to skip the fusion right there. The only thing I am doing is looking at some of the spirit stone resources but damn they really screwed this one up. It's awful.

If someone is on the fence, my recommendation would be this. Hold on dragon until divers opens first of all. Once divers opens, then complete dragon right away. Do the summon rush and see if you can pull one or more of the rare during that. If you get a rare then skip the champ event. If you don't get the rare, then stop working on the fusion, and start rebuilding resources for the next fusion.
That's what I was thinking. But I have no plans to do the x2 ancients and am waiting for a guarenteed champ event (the last one was 6 weeks ago and knowing Plarium there will be another guarenteed from ancients in 2 or 3 weeks)
You know that might not be too bad if they put it as the LAST event... You know like when you need to grind out leveling these champions. So now you have to do all of this work twice!
They were sneaky as well. They started the Summoning Event on a Tuesday instead of the usual Thursday so pulling ancients to use as food on Friday is less useful for Champion Training
I wasn't sure if I was going to go for this one, but when I saw the champion training I instantly decided to skip and farm some mino instead. Maybe if they placed it further into the fusion and I had the rares/epics to level I could have talked myself into it but no way... I just done a load of training on hero's path for the end soulstone that ended up being a complete waste of time! In fact soul stones are souring me to the game in general, so much time resources and effort for small rewards that end with constant disappointment.
Well said YST! As you say you are usually really positive and don't do negative videos, but this is a joke. Last year Castigator in the same event to get Tatura, a much better champion, was 3500 points. I usually get the fusions, but this one is a definite skip as you have to burn way too much resources for what you get.
This is the cherry on top of what happend today. If they go on like that i defenitly will stop playing. I was goin to skip this fusion anyway but this just shows again that it is all about maximazing revenue no matter what. They just screwed us with the unkillable nerf now i miss tournament points that can not be added anymore. Energy+points+multibattles, all gone.
thank you for video YST . its juts show plarium become more and more greedy and out of touch . im low spender roughly 50£ a month but since awaking i stop as too much rng and greedy events. and game more and more bugs and issue in system .
I did it in about 30min using resources from clan boss. Save your resources for fusions including shards and its very possible. You get a lot of brews naturally in the game, I save them for these events.
The problems isn't the resources and not how many time you click your mouse using brew tips. Is the absurd point. Any end game F2P can do this fusion but the cost per value is awful.
To compair: If we take for example the Hurndig fusion, we got a rare from champ training at 3725 and 5070 points AND an epic at 10650 points. The F*ck is plarium doing with a rare at 9350? If it was the new best nuker in the game it would be oke but this champ is just mediocre.
Best way for Plarium to understand this is not right is for people to skip the fusion but more importantly not to spend money at all until they make changes.
If this is the way fusions are going, I don't think I'll be doing many more. Even Ukko had a catch or two with his kit that made him less useful in practice.
I really like this format. People who have kept some resources in reserve rather than impulse spent them, can decide to skip 4/16 of the events/tournaments. I think this is very well done.
As a newer player who had* resources I find this rather sad. I'm already in too deep for Maranix; I had no experience on fusions prior to this. while I skipped the first champion training event due to the extreme amount of resources it would have cost, I've locked myself in to trying for the fusion sice I got Tomoe in the summons event and spent resources farming and acquiring the Persecutors. I wish I had known there are seasonal events, I would have saved for Halloween and passed on Maranix.
Finally someone covering this travesty 😅 I was not expecting it to be this high for a rare. But I suppose they will want to drain your resources before the Halloween fusion 😅
I’m ftp an pick up most every Lego book from champ training. And all the fusions. With good resource management you can do all this easy. Shards is the most difficult part but if u do unm+nm cb then it’s cake.

Because _harsh_ or _lenient_ are relative to the question at hand, and indeed, what they did here was comparable to the Foli fusion, where they had to make up by adding the permanent Rhazin fusion due to the massive playerbase upheaval. I understand you're a CC and have to measure your words, so worry not, I don't think anyone's gonna feel bad for not going down even harder on Plarium. Also, if I'm not mistaken, you're either a Brit or Commonwealth, you're supposed to be calm and collected at all times - haha! That's fine! That one hundred percent should be an epic there. But all of the Halloween fusions have been vault guardians. I say wait for the summon rush if you can then decide on training.
I was never going to do it on my ftp. I have been planning to do the Halloween fusion since I started the account. Even if the champ turns out to be a Pixynil lol
no one is talking that the lego book sits at 13,4k... it used to be around 10k at the start of the year. Plarium keeps on increasing the requirements for the book over the last months =(
i agree, Plarium is totally mad here. As soon as I saw that, it's an immediate skip. No champ is worth it, unachievable unless you saved up for two months. Thylessia provids the def down and hex, just on seperate skills. much better option...
It's a bit much, i'll do the training anyway, as i want the book, but that's where i'll stop, means i can focus on my hydra/DT teams for the next couple of weeks
What you have to do is make all the food you need later now. so you will need to make 16 4 star chickens and 48 3 star chickens. The problem is that even if you so this you won't have nearly enough points so then you have to level up all thise chickens and probably then start from scratch and make a 6 star and then there's no guarantee it won't be a huge waste of time because you'll still have to do all the other events and possibly 2 summoning events as well unless you pop some rares from ancients/mystery shards.
@@azzaz1204 i got the point I'm just saying if you were going for the fusion this is the way you would have to go about it. Unfortunately, you cannot double dip in the champion training while you level the rares/epics like you normally would. I'm not doing the fusion. In fact I'm probably not doing any more fusions at this rate it's not worth the effort. All the rewards are being crushed not just this champ training, it's every single event.
Once I saw the calendar I knew this was an easy pass. I'm backpacking for 3 days in the middle of these two weeks. With no extra rares available it just isn't possible. So, an easy choice, especially after Ukko.
Im going 4 it but only out of compulsion. Usually have enough resources ready 2 fly through all of the first training n a good bit 4 the second, but this took all my stock n I still have over 3k 2 go.
I feel the same as you, 9350 is the requirement to get 15 fragment for fragment fusion 1/6 of the fusion, not 1/16 like this time. In dupt of skip or not and this make my mind clear, now is a skip

I'm completely free to play and I have done a lot of prep. Pretty sure I could do it, but it would take too many sleepless nights to get all of those points (not to mention leveling and ascending the champs to fuse her). I would have to run Raid at work and ignore my family to get this. Definitely not a strong enough champion to put in enough work.
Plarium has really been showing their greed since the release of the Awakening system. First the key and energy cost along with the gems for extra keys. Then the Iron twin rewards (and event essence) are complete trash extending this process by years to maybe get something good. They overprice soulstones by a mile then take away some of the better rewards from tournaments and events for these trash stone currency. Now they are ridiculously increasing the points required to do a fusion with no room for error (this fusion schedule is tight and they only supply the exact amount of rares needed) forcing us to spend or pass on this. Also might just be me but in my 3 years of playing I've noticed in the last two months that the clan boss rewards seem to have dropped (especially Nightmare) while Ultra is giving way more books (mostly epic) than ever replacing shard drops.
I agree with Ash on this one. Easiest skip Fusion of all time. I wasn't that interested to start with, but sometimes I just end up getting most of a fusion so I say screw it and push. This one is complete opposite I'm actively push resources away from this crap. and working on other projects. This fusion is crazy bad.
To many people were able to get Helicath and Plarium have gone scorched earth ever since. They are making these fusions and fragment champs so much harder to acquire.
As soon as i saw it I thought the exact same thing. Could i do it on my main? sure, but why should i pour in so much resources to get 1 single rare. I'm just going to do things at my own pace and see where it goes tbh. do dragon and such for gear
If i wasn't planning on building a new CB team then i would skip from the start, for me it depends on the summon rush, if the rare is in reach then I might go for it, if not ill just fuse a Tomoe, maybe two because my faction guardians for shadowkin still needs some epics

Not sure what they were thinking with this one. It's nearly impossible for newer players and a senseless grind for more end-game players. I feel the same way you do. Was ready to go, then when I saw this.... never mind. I have better things to do.
If you do champion training efficiently (brews to consumed champs and etc) it translates roughly to 7k per one new rank 6, while in general, I agree she should not be 9k (more like 6k), on the other hand if you don't go 14k points to get a lego book and have 2 extra rank 6 in the process. You are not playing it efficiently.
i have the reasorces, but i dont feel is worth spending on this champion, to much grinding for very little rewards. i will got for the halloween fusion instead!
As F2p I can't justify going for this fusion because of that nonsense points total to get a RARE. I have enough resources (just about. Over 100 ancients and 9 Sacred Shards) but the champion would have to be S tier for me to consider going for it. This one seems more like a C tier champ. I'll go for the Epic instead because I'm going to be farming Dragon and Spider Dungeons anyway and will get the other 2 rares from Arena
lol classic classic move LOL I'm never doing any fusions ever I decided to go for a HC after not doing Fusion for years missed it by one goat ridiculousness
so many event dungeons and content but you need to pay to play as a free to play is almost impossible to get chance you need to chose farm gear or farm scroll or do lvl up some food it takes tons of energy the only way to be able to do it is to save a hole year of energy and shards and code rewords to be able to enjoy the events
I'm F2P and I could go for her, but she is too weak to bother. I already have few attacking legos that waits to 6* them and most are batter than she is: Yannica, Yakarl, Gurgoh, King Garog, Basileus Ranas + I got Genbo in last 2x void event. She doesn't seems to batter than one Alexander. If she would be Helicath class lego, I would go for her and I would collect even that extra epic, just in case, and I would fuse her 10 days before the end of the event, but to do all that work for C tier champ... I don't think so.
I have the resources to do it without a problem. That said, I think I’m passing on it. The champion is just ok, and the champion training is a terrible start to the fusion. What were they thinking?
I have the resources, and I could probably make the time. 9350 points for a rare is a breaking point for me though. I'm not going to do it just on principal alone.
i go for the last reward in all training events (1 year account, buy raid card monthly) so doesn't really matter to me where they put the rare, would be great if they put the epic on the next week's champion chase rather than this week's summon rush to coincide with the 2x event though

I think they have also dropped the number of shards from clan boss. Been playing 2 1/2 years just about done though.

To compair: If we take for example the Hurndig fusion, we got a rare from champ training at 3725 and 5070 points AND an epic at 10650 points. The F*ck is plarium doing with a rare at 9350? If it was the new best nuker in the game it would be oke but this champ is just mediocre.
Best way for Plarium to understand this is not right is for people to skip the fusion but more importantly not to spend money at all until they make changes.
If this is the way fusions are going, I don't think I'll be doing many more. Even Ukko had a catch or two with his kit that made him less useful in practice.

I really like this format. People who have kept some resources in reserve rather than impulse spent them, can decide to skip 4/16 of the events/tournaments.
I think this is very well done.
They usually put an extra epic at around 8k ig and thats at the end when u pick up some of the rares and epics and level them up
As a newer player who had* resources I find this rather sad. I'm already in too deep for Maranix; I had no experience on fusions prior to this. while I skipped the first champion training event due to the extreme amount of resources it would have cost, I've locked myself in to trying for the fusion sice I got Tomoe in the summons event and spent resources farming and acquiring the Persecutors. I wish I had known there are seasonal events, I would have saved for Halloween and passed on Maranix.
Finally someone covering this travesty 😅 I was not expecting it to be this high for a rare. But I suppose they will want to drain your resources before the Halloween fusion 😅
I’m ftp an pick up most every Lego book from champ training. And all the fusions. With good resource management you can do all this easy. Shards is the most difficult part but if u do unm+nm cb then it’s cake.

Because _harsh_ or _lenient_ are relative to the question at hand, and indeed, what they did here was comparable to the Foli fusion, where they had to make up by adding the permanent Rhazin fusion due to the massive playerbase upheaval. That one hundred percent should be an epic there. But all of the Halloween fusions have been vault guardians. I say wait for the summon rush if you can then decide on training.
I saw that champion training event and my head exploded. There should have been 2 rares on the ladder and an epic at 9350, but this is ridiculous.

no one is talking that the lego book sits at 13,4k... it used to be around 10k at the start of the year. Plarium keeps on increasing the requirements for the book over the last months =(

i agree, Plarium is totally mad here. As soon as I saw that, it's an immediate skip. No champ is worth it, unachievable unless you saved up for two months.

It's a bit much, i'll do the training anyway, as i want the book, but that's where i'll stop, means i can focus on my hydra/DT teams for the next couple of weeks

What you have to do is make all the food you need later now. so you will need to make 16 4 star chickens and 48 3 star chickens. The problem is that even if you so this you won't have nearly enough points so then you have to level up all thise chickens and probably then start from scratch and make a 6 star and then there's no guarantee it won't be a huge waste of time because you'll still have to do all the other events and possibly 2 summoning events as well unless you pop some rares from ancients/mystery shards.
You completely missed the point - Plarium now requires the same amount of effort for rare as they required for epic in the past and that's not fair
@@azzaz1204 i got the point I'm just saying if you were going for the fusion this is the way you would have to go about it. Unfortunately, you cannot double dip in the champion training while you level the rares/epics like you normally would. I'm not doing the fusion. In fact I'm probably not doing any more fusions at this rate it's not worth the effort. All the rewards are being crushed not just this champ training, it's every single event.

Once I saw the calendar I knew this was an easy pass. I'm backpacking for 3 days in the middle of these two weeks. With no extra rares available it just isn't possible. So, an easy choice, especially after Ukko.

Im going 4 it but only out of compulsion. Usually have enough resources ready 2 fly through all of the first training n a good bit 4 the second, but this took all my stock n I still have over 3k 2 go.
I feel the same as you, 9350 is the requirement to get 15 fragment for fragment fusion 1/6 of the fusion, not 1/16 like this time. In dupt of skip or not and this make my mind clear, now is a skip

I’m F2P and always farm the 14k for legendary tome from this event and I usually only make 2 new 6 stars.
I'm completely free to play and I have done a lot of prep. Pretty sure I could do it, but it would take too many sleepless nights to get all of those points (not to mention leveling and ascending the champs to fuse her). I would have to run Raid at work and ignore my family to get this. Definitely not a strong enough champion to put in enough work.

Classic resource drain before the Halloween fusion
Plarium has really been showing their greed since the release of the Awakening system.
First the key and energy cost along with the gems for extra keys. Then the Iron twin rewards (and event essence) are complete trash extending this process by years to maybe get something good.
They overprice soulstones by a mile then take away some of the better rewards from tournaments and events for these trash stone currency.
Now they are ridiculously increasing the points required to do a fusion with no room for error (this fusion schedule is tight and they only supply the exact amount of rares needed) forcing us to spend or pass on this.
Also might just be me but in my 3 years of playing I've noticed in the last two months that the clan boss rewards seem to have dropped (especially Nightmare) while Ultra is giving way more books (mostly epic) than ever replacing shard drops.
I agree with Ash on this one. Easiest skip Fusion of all time. I wasn't that interested to start with, but sometimes I just end up getting most of a fusion so I say screw it and push. This one is complete opposite I'm actively push resources away from this crap. and working on other projects. This fusion is crazy bad.

To many people were able to get Helicath and Plarium have gone scorched earth ever since. They are making these fusions and fragment champs so much harder to acquire.
As soon as i saw it I thought the exact same thing. Could i do it on my main? sure, but why should i pour in so much resources to get 1 single rare. I'm just going to do things at my own pace and see where it goes tbh. do dragon and such for gear
If i wasn't planning on building a new CB team then i would skip from the start, for me it depends on the summon rush, if the rare is in reach then I might go for it, if not ill just fuse a Tomoe, maybe two because my faction guardians for shadowkin still needs some epics

Not sure what they were thinking with this one. It's nearly impossible for newer players and a senseless grind for more end-game players. I feel the same way you do. Was ready to go, then when I saw this.... never mind. I have better things to do.

If you do champion training efficiently (brews to consumed champs and etc) it translates roughly to 7k per one new rank 6, while in general, I agree she should not be 9k (more like 6k), on the other hand if you don't go 14k points to get a lego book and have 2 extra rank 6 in the process. You are not playing it efficiently.
On my free to play account the Rare is set to 6650. Still crazy for single rare
i have the reasorces, but i dont feel is worth spending on this champion, to much grinding for very little rewards.

As F2p I can't justify going for this fusion because of that nonsense points total to get a RARE. I have enough resources (just about. Over 100 ancients and 9 Sacred Shards) but the champion would have to be S tier for me to consider going for it. This one seems more like a C tier champ. I'll go for the Epic instead because I'm going to be farming Dragon and Spider Dungeons anyway and will get the other 2 rares from Arena
lol classic classic move LOL I'm never doing any fusions ever I decided to go for a HC after not doing Fusion for years missed it by one goat ridiculousness
so many event dungeons and content but you need to pay to play as a free to play is almost impossible to get chance you need to chose farm gear or farm scroll or do lvl up some food it takes tons of energy the only way to be able to do it is to save a hole year of energy and shards and code rewords to be able to enjoy the events
I'm F2P and I could go for her, but she is too weak to bother. I already have few attacking legos that waits to 6* them and most are batter than she is: Yannica, Yakarl, Gurgoh, King Garog, Basileus Ranas + I got Genbo in last 2x void event. She doesn't seems to batter than one Alexander. If she would be Helicath class lego, I would go for her and I would collect even that extra epic, just in case, and I would fuse her 10 days before the end of the event, but to do all that work for C tier champ... I don't think so.

I have the resources, and I could probably make the time. 9350 points for a rare is a breaking point for me though. I'm not going to do it just on principal alone.
i go for the last reward in all training events (1 year account, buy raid card monthly) so doesn't really matter to me where they put the rare, would be great if they put the epic on the next week's champion chase rather than this week's summon rush to coincide with the 2x event though
