Great video and very informative. A couple of points to add for anyone else doing this. The 301 are certainly the best replacement battery option but as you say they can be pricey. I find AG12 works and can often be found much much cheaper. The metal piece under the battery can be given a slight bend to help aid connections and helps ensure the 'press' works ok. Finally when looking up inside the car, the square pad you identify is very important to clean but dony forgot to do the little tab that sits over the rear and lines up with the rear axle. This one is really important to a good connection too. Overall a great video, keep the content coming.
Nice. I think the micro lights series is under valued, because so many of them are rusted out inside. so, it's awesome that yours are in good working order.
@@thetoyfreaks6134yeah I got them for Christmas, they came from eBay, in a bag, so all I really had to do was scrape off some oxidation and they kicked right up, I didn’t even realize they had lights until I questioned why they were bigger than normal ones.
The chinese bulk batteries will explode even when not inserted into objects. I've wrapped them in electrical tape only to find later that they have corroded but not exploded. I really don't like how expensive watch batteries are, but if you do buy them, I recommend legit batteries, not knockoffs. The legit ones have never exploded on me--only have expired. I am so glad a game cartridge battery hasn't crapped the bed.
