Chris and Marianne I hate to give you bad news, but you need to lower your expectations when you come to the US. Here are few reasons:
    1. US is extremely commercialized, almost all cities and suburbs look alike.
    2. 99% of the food is GMO and doesn't taste very good. Don't expect the same quality food as in Turkey.
    3. When it comes to history... what history? All historic places date no more than 200 years and are extremely commercialized.
    4. You better like Disney Land and McDonald's.
    5. Private land everywhere. Most states have 70%-98% privately owned land.
    6. No people on the streets. If you like the busy and colorful streets of Turkey, you are not going to find it here in the US. Also no street markets.
    7. It's expensive. Why would you leave the great prices in Turkey and come to the US where everything is 5X?
    8. Lot's of crazy people and homeless population is booming. Better find some secure places to park the van.
    9. Everyone has a gun, you can buy a handgun for $100 in most pawn shops and it's perfectly legal.
    10. Few months back where I live a homeless guy shot and killed another homeless person, who also had a gun. Better get used to homeless people with guns.
    11. Most people here believe in freedom (which means no vaccines taken).
    12. If you don't like to hear about school shooting don't open the TV, we have school shootings every 3 days.
Those are some of the downsides. All that said if you ever come to Utah please send me a private message. I will be happy to show you around.

My friend goru this all sounds quite sad but also true....but for some reason the US has always been the country of my dreams and if I could choose one place on earth to live, I would probably choose the states even though I barely have any idea of how it really is like. There is just this idea in my mind of freedom, the country of freedom is the united states. I would love to travel it extensively, but Everytime I check prices for accomodations and rental cars are just so high that I discard the idea and go elsewhere.

I was a guard inside the Pantheon of Rome for 25 years and so I had to interact with hundreds of tourists from all the world. Turkish visitors were very friendly, talkative, nice and curious. It was a joke to get their friendship with all their family👨‍👩‍👦, we went to the coffee shop☕ togheter and so on. 🇮🇹❤️🇹🇷 They looked so humble and affable.

The situation about the camera & police does not make sense, some touristic places like Topkapı Palace does not let inside recording but normally security guards don't have anything with outside recording. Police does not even care but it may be related with old security habits of the region. Turkey struggled with some terror attacks for long years and southeast region is the main gateway of the country to the middle east. So we know that, before an attack they come and work the place by recording and observing the routine daily life. So if you took so many shots in same area or you flew a drone, they may be alerted. They feel like they need some extra measures like asking the purpose of your recording and have a little chit chat to know you.
Ofcourse these are all assumptions coming from my own experience.

The story of Abraham is not just a legend. The story is in the Quran.
As Muslims we believe he is the forefather of the Prophets, with all the rest after him, including Noah, Moses, Jesus and many many more, Muhammad being the last and final Prophet and messenger, May peace and blessings be on them all.
As Muslims we do not make difference when it comes to the Prophets.
I too visited this place in 2018 as it has a huge significance in Islamic history. Also loved Gobeklitepe 👍

Wonderful Video. I hate to see U leave Turkey. Is there somewhere that I can see an itinerary of your Turkey travels all in one place without going back an taking notes while watching your videos? If you ever make it to Michigan, please let us know. We live on Lake Michigan in the sand dunes near Silver Lake. We would be happy to have U stay here for a few days on the lake if we weren't traveling.

Hi Bev - there is an app called polarsteps which is free to download that shows our route - or if you choose the Turkey playlist and put it in date order - Chris lived near Plymouth as a child and will be visiting one day for sure - Kind regards Marianne
