As someone who has never experience a truck camper… the fact that this thing has this many features and comforts and sits in your truck bed blows my mind!!! 🤯
i been watching your videos for a while and your getting so good at showing campers. some rv videos they skip half the stuff i want to see but your detailed and you dont take an hour to show it. i absolutely love the mammoth line.
excellent tour. i have been watching p/u camper videos a good while. the Host campers are the crown jewel of campers. but gee wiz, they are expensive. but again, they are the dream home camper.
I had no idea that anyone made a truck camper like this!! Great walkthrough guys! I'm truly amazed at the bathroom space and that it has a separate shower unit!! Thanks loads and happy camping!!
I think it kinda goes too far. I'm surprised you don't need a Mercedes G63 pickup to haul this monster. The G63 is one of the world's largest pickup trucks and is so massive it has SIX wheels. Yes, it's a 6x6 drive, built especially for the Australian Army but a few years ago, it went for sale on the civilian market. Costs as much as a loaded Ferrari, no doubt and guzzles fuel at barely 12 mpg...
Ronnie!! Thank You for watching, Brother!! Yes, this camper is a lot bigger that I expected too. It's been a lot of fun testing it out. Hope all is going great in your World and its awesome seeing you here on the channel! I appreciate you!
Fantastic!! You will LOVE the Mammoth and driving the 5500. I personally believe this combination is unbeatable. Can't wait to see your set up! Please let me know if you have questions or want me to cover anything in future videos. Thanks!
Nice to see a review from the owner's point of view, I can't wait to see more of it when you guys take it for holidays and it gets loaded with all the items. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Leonardo, thank you so much for the kind words! Yes, we will be taking this camper Everywhere very soon and upload our adventures here so please stay tuned. Greetings from Salt Lake City and have a Wonderful weekend in Buenos Aires!!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Raymond! We really appreciate it and will continue to try our best to provide informative and fun videos! Have a great day, Nate
When you lifted up the cover below the TV all I can think about is why would you place plumbing lines right above electrical items ? That jack knife bed by the door would be a great place for a dog to have his own bed at night.
Hey Donna, I agree with you it's a little unnerving but it does provide quick access if need be. And yes, that small jack knife bed is a great one for pets or a small child! Thank you for watching!
The Eagle Cap 1200 also comes with a King Size Bed, I love that Host Mammoth. The sad part is that we had no dealers close to us to see or purchase one where we felt we could get after-sale service.
Hi there!! Yes, I totally forgot about the eagle cap and their offering of a King Size bed. Bummer about the lack of service around you. Maybe find a dealer and vacation once a year to them?
Just came across your site. What a down to earth lovely family you are! Loved the review and I look forward to other videos and to your success and the happy trails that lay ahead! Liked and subscribed, God bless.
Wow, this comment is the nicest and most positive one we have ever received. Thank you so much for extending all of your well wishes and we are excited to share our journey with you! Blessings to you my friend.
Hey Ronald, thank you so much for watching. I have a 2019 RAM 5500 Laramie. It's great now with an air ride system and flatbed. But when I first got it, it was very rough riding in it. With this camper in the back it's even a smoother ride.
If only they would design tiny towables like this. This floor plan works for many ppl. The smaller towables I’ve seen doesn’t come close to being this comfortable
All you would really have to do is mount it to a small car trailer and there you have a towable mammoth. When you get to where you’re going just put the stabilizer jacks down and then unhook it from your tow vehicle.
I like this camper have been learning about pick up campers and just love them. Going full time within a year and this is a great home. Thick is the first that said washer/dryer option. Love the 800 solar. How cool. I amazes me how big the tanks are in a camper, love it. Couple questions: Are RV parks pretty accepting of pick up campers. How much propane does it hold. You are great making videos, just found this site. Would love to see you do a walk around outside also a video on how everything works like you did inside. Glad to have found your channel
Awwww thank you so much for your kind words and support. We appreciate it. So no issues with RV sites and our rig. We have 2 30 pound LP tanks. We did a exterior walk around of the camper so please check that out!
There are 2 small closets on the camper for hanging up clothing. A lot fo drawers to fold and stow clothes in. So I would say you could have like 2 weeks of clothes in the camper at all times.
You seem like a very good hearted sincere person ! Great review awesome camper ..... was wondering why you didn't prefer two recliners at the rear ? I have 3 women in my life that travel in this camper. We needed the 3 slide outs to make this truck camper feel just big enough for all of us. The flatbed campers are just boxes for the most part and didn't have the room we were looking for. Thank you so much for watching!
Awesome and interesting tour! Am in love with the Mammoth truck campers!! But the OCD insulation person in me, would want to install foam cutout insulation under each and every lightswitch and outlet. And when removing the ovals to the outlet foam sheets, cut slits with a scissors and place onto plastic child safety covers. A bit of extra insulation but safer with curious kids around. Should keep out any humidity and dust. As for the fridge-freezer, I would highly recommend temperature gauges $5-$8 each. The freezer temps can be monitered and that recommended food safety range is 0-5degrees. And the fridge 35-40degrees. For me in my home, saves money as I do a morning check. If the fridge airflow not packed right, it will shoot up the temp on the fridge and make it overwork, using extra electricity and possible food spoilage concerns. Have not had to readjust my fridge foods lately I think because my learning curve took awhile to figure out the main spot I put in food was blocking the airflow. Anyways. Just an fyi.
Yes, it gets blocked by the spare tire. So I fill it up before my trip. I am thinking about moving the spare tire to the rear in some way though in the future. Thanks for watching!
Curious to know how accessible stuff is with the slides in? Looks like you would not be able to get in to the bedroom or the bathroom with the slides in.
Another nice job, Nate! How have you handled the increased distance for the stairs? I'm concerned about our dog being able to get in and out safely, and definitely without me having to carry her!
Thank You for the compliment my friend! Yes, I am having to use another small step ladder while the camper is on the truck. You could always take the camper off the truck and lower it to the ground for you dog... but once it's on the truck the camper definitely sits up high and a step ladder is required.

Any truck in the 4500/5500 range is ideal. The Payload needs to be in that 7,000 and up range.
A semi

Plumbing lines right above your electronics??? What could possibly go wrong????
