For the smell of the rubber mats, put equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle and spray them down. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes and dry them off. White vinegar will naturally break down the compounds that makes the rubber smell.
I only included a small portion of the phone calls with Fedex over this delivery, it's getting silly how much time has been wasted over it. I will be sure to provide an update in future video. My dad is a big advocate of vinegar for cleaning, did not think to use it in this case - I plan on doing that today for sure. It took me about 45 minutes to get her to calm down. When her mom picked her up she opened her backpack, and guess what, her water bottle was right there in the main pocket. It takes a lot of experience and patience to deal with them every day

Blizzard! Great to see you in here, even when watching on your TV bud! I agree, 99.99% of packages are problem-free and overall I prefer them as a whole. When an issue pops up, they can be difficult to deal with, and I think this video shows that a bit. an hour and a half, yikes! Very proud of Aubrey, she is a good little kid (when she wants to be haha) Smoothies continue to work, they do get her outta bed quickly, but she drags along some days and its a struggle to get her going. I might switch up shower time to have that first, then get ready for the day, maybe it will help wake her up quicker. I know she is sleeping enough Vacuum sealing blankets like that would certainly get the box smaller, and in most cases, a cheaper shipping rate. I have never personally vacuum-sealed items on my own or in the store, so not sure on the process. Many customers bring items in already sealed up I have not done an in-depth box making video, I could do that in the future, probably a 15 min video showing every detail. Just practice over time, becomes easy Yup, our bubble wrap (both sizes) come perforated every 12" for "easy tear". ive had similar issues with shipping companies i had a fuel tank shipped to nz and got lost in transport took me 3 months to even try and get a refund and still no idea where the item ended up its fustrating to say the least
Nick may not be able to keep track of the little tasks he has left to do, but he is really good when it comes to making a phone call when delivery has gone wrong. Nick was on fire in a professional way! Well done men and too bad that for the customer who makes special bread it is now for the 2nd time delivered wrong. Hopefully it will go right now. Or is it better for the person to have it delivered through you guys with another courier company like DHL or UPS? Because it would be a shame if the special breads keep spoiling or are delivered wrong. Keep it up guys I love your videos! May God bless you and your store!

How to make a custom box 1. Do measurements (duh), curse customers why they give you a hard time and leave the item in the room until you have the mood to make the box. 2. score to make side flap 3. Zero of the ruler on the side flap score and score the cardboard in the sequence of small big small big. 4. poke the hole and score horizontally to make 4 flaps, and in the meantime extend the score line of 4 flaps a little bit. 5. cut the flaps (Rob's style), at the end of the last line of score cut off the excess cardboard. 6. rotate and extend the score lines 7. repeat step 4 again 8. repeat step 5, in Rob's style of course! 9. fold the side flap and apply a line of tape to it 10. use your limited knowledge of math to fold the cardboard into a cuboid shape and tape the lower flaps of the box. 11. more tapes, I MEAN MOOOORE!! 12. throw packaging materials and squeeze the customer's item into the box. 13. more packaging materials if necessary. 14. lastly, tape the upper flaps of the box 15. sike, more TAPEEEEEES. Bonus step: you finally remember you have a worker in your possession, use him to make the box. Also ,sorry rob, my comment made you lose concentration and cut yourself 😢

Well in your defense Melissa, sometimes I use less or more than needed based on what the customer is willing or wanting to pay! Something that looks fragile might use bubble wrap normally, but if customer isn't paying for packing, paper it is - situations like that. Thanks!

Wow bad fed ex....i know the hardship of stuff going bad cause they refused to knock on my door to let me know hello fresh was delivered....when it was hotter than hell here....i asked both hello fesh an fed ex knock an let me know you are there so the food doesn't sit...this was over a holiday of last year the meals usaully got delivered on a monday so im thinking tuesday it be there...nope was out there on Saturday...we use the back door to leave all the time since its where we park..think it was like 104 out an didn't check the porch til sunday night after i seen the email...i was livid...called hello fresh an fed ex...asking why in the hell drivers don't knock on the doors....UPS knocks....lol thats my bad delivery with fed ex....i try not to use them...will you UPS or post office.....great video...granted i would have gotten lippy with the person on the phone lol
Yikes Tina, and of course your box contained perishables! It's never the box of clothing that is days late, right? The company as a whole (in my opinion) is excellent. However, the shipping and delivery process is only as good as the weakest chain in that link of events. In many cases, that weakest link is the driver making the final delivery. That driver is just a contracted, hourly worker, not an employee of Fedex if shipping Ground service. Trust me there are drivers with all carriers that are sub-par... Nick gets SUPER lippy on the phone, sometimes I have to tell him to tone it down some lol

Smoothies continue to work, they do get her outta bed quickly, but she drags along some days and its a struggle to get her going. I might switch up shower time to have that first, then get ready for the day, maybe it will help wake her up quicker. I know she is sleeping enough
Vacuum sealing blankets like that would certainly get the box smaller, and in most cases, a cheaper shipping rate. I have never personally vacuum-sealed items on my own or in the store, so not sure on the process. Many customers bring items in already sealed up
I have not done an in-depth box making video, I could do that in the future, probably a 15 min video showing every detail. Just practice over time, becomes easy
Yup, our bubble wrap (both sizes) come perforated every 12" for "easy tear". Nothing easy about this roll though 🤢

ive had similar issues with shipping companies i had a fuel tank shipped to nz and got lost in transport took me 3 months to even try and get a refund and still no idea where the item ended up its fustrating to say the least
99.9% of my shipments are great, but you always remember the ones that give you trouble just like yours rolling... thanks
Nick may not be able to keep track of the little tasks he has left to do, but he is really good when it comes to making a phone call when delivery has gone wrong. Nick was on fire in a professional way! Well done men and too bad that for the customer who makes special bread it is now for the 2nd time delivered wrong. Hopefully it will go right now. Or is it better for the person to have it delivered through you guys with another courier company like DHL or UPS? I told the customer the only way I would attempt delivery a third time is to have the box held for customer pickup. I won’t deliver to that address again after this. Sad.

Place the rubber mats in direct sunlight for several hours. This can help to break down the compounds that are causing the odor.
Have them soaking in vinegar right now, will try the sun if this does not fix . How you doing Patrick?

How to make a custom box
1. Do measurements (duh), curse customers why they give you a hard time and leave the item in the room until you have the mood to make the box.
2. score to make side flap
3. Zero of the ruler on the side flap score and score the cardboard in the sequence of small big small big.
4. poke the hole and score horizontally to make 4 flaps, and in the meantime extend the score line of 4 flaps a little bit.
5. cut the flaps (Rob's style), at the end of the last line of score cut off the excess cardboard.
6. rotate and extend the score lines
7. repeat step 4 again
8. repeat step 5, in Rob's style of course!
9. fold the side flap and apply a line of tape to it
10. use your limited knowledge of math to fold the cardboard into a cuboid shape and tape the lower flaps of the box.
11. more tapes, I MEAN MOOOORE!!
12. throw packaging materials and squeeze the customer's item into the box.
13. more packaging materials if necessary.
14. lastly, tape the upper flaps of the box
15. sike, more TAPEEEEEES.
Bonus step: you finally remember you have a worker in your possession, use him to make the box.

I recommand coffee powder. It absorbs smells. When I have Strange smells in the fridge, I put some coffee powder in and the smell is gone :)
@@derwolvi I will add that suggestion to the list of things to try. We soaked the mats today and will see if that fixes it tomorrow. If not, try laying them out in sun, then I will be buying some coffee powder

Wow bad fed ex....i know the hardship of stuff going bad cause they refused to knock on my door to let me know hello fresh was delivered....when it was hotter than hell here....i asked both hello fesh an fed ex knock an let me know you are there so the food doesn't sit...this was over a holiday of last year the meals usaully got delivered on a monday so im thinking tuesday it be there...nope was out there on Saturday...we use the back door to leave all the time since its where we park..think it was like 104 out an didn't check the porch til sunday night after i seen the email...i was livid...called hello fresh an fed ex...asking why in the hell drivers don't knock on the doors....UPS knocks....lol thats my bad delivery with fed ex....i try not to use them...will you UPS or post office.....great video...granted i would have gotten lippy with the person on the phone lol
Yikes Tina, and of course your box contained perishables! It's never the box of clothing that is days late, right? The company as a whole (in my opinion) is excellent. However, the shipping and delivery process is only as good as the weakest chain in that link of events. In many cases, that weakest link is the driver making the final delivery. That driver is just a contracted, hourly worker, not an employee of Fedex if shipping Ground service. Trust me there are drivers with all carriers that are sub-par...
