- what is capacitor and capacitance
A capacitor is a passive electrical component that stores electrical charge field.
The effect of a capacitor is known as capacitance .
Basic Construction:
apacitor A capacitor is an electrical device that stores electrical charge and is constructed of two parallel plates separated by an insulating material called the dielectric. Connecting leads are attached to the parallel plates.
Construction of Capacitor Working of Capacitor:
In the natural state, both plates of a capacitor have an equal number of free electrons. When the capacitor is connected to a voltage source, electrons are removed from plate A, and an equal number are deposited on plate B. As plate A loses electrons and plate B gains electrons, plate a becomes positive with respect to plate B.
During this chargin g process, electrons flow only through the connecting leads.
No electrons flow through the dielectric of the capacitor because it is an insulator.
The movement of electrons ceases when the voltage across the capacitor equal the source voltage. A charged ca pacitor can act as a temporary battery.

Hi sir iam preparing for yhe tnpsc AE i have searched more channels but i can't learn now i had find suitable channel for my preparation thank you for your service sir
Better explanation I have ever heard....❤
when we apply Electric current to one side plate of the capacitor it will repell the electrons of other side of the capacitor. So more electrons are accumulated at one side of the capacitor and lesser amount of electron present on other side of the plate. So it will create a potential difference between two plates. And this is the concept of capacitor.
Glad that i found this sir. You are doing an amazing job. Thank you very much Sir. God bless
simple and clear explained
thank you eee dept....

Super explaination sir
நன்றி ஐயா.....
good explantion.
Thank you sir.
Thank you sir, but please given the detail of variable capacitors
Super and useful vedeo
Thank your sir good explanation really lucky your students.
C=q/v , volt ok, how can find the q, capacitance increase voltage increase?
Power supply smps filter circuit burst capacitor how can select correct capacitor?
Sir, transmission line theory la t section pathi pesuga sir
Very nice 👌👌
Sir, we have only flow of electrons( electrical from previous videos) then how we are taking as positive and negative plates
Thank you sir
Super....
Sir explanation on electrical maintenance
tq sir..
Very usefull
He teaches like a sage like Dronacharya

Sir If positive charge means electrons then how electrons and positive charge attracts??
Dielectric medium thula automatic ah ve positive , negative voltage form akiruma sir
Ac circuits calculation video upload sir.
Even non tamilians can also understand his lectures he uses English alongwith tamil
சார் உங்க தலையில் மூலைக்கு பதிலாக எலக்ட்ரான் ப்ரோட்டன் தான் இருக்கு 🤭உங்கள் சேவை என்றென்றும் மக்களுக்கு தேவை thanks 🙏
Super. Sir
How possitive charge stored in one plate...4.00 - 4.25
மிக சிறப்பு
உங்களின் EEE நண்பர்களுக்கும் share பண்ணுங்க...
நன்றி
sir entha force apply pannuna capacitor la opposite charge nadakku pls tell me sir
Sir you told in one video that electric current flows only negative .
But here you saying that postive charge will come when current is flowing ..
Please clarify
👌
Guru sakshath parabrahma 🙏🙏🙏
Sir BEEE independent sources and dependent sources explain pannuga
Semma sir
Super sir
sir in this what is mean positive charge charge sir ,and how this positive charge is stored what is the source for this
Sir super sir
Sir enakku oru doubt 🤔Electrolytic capacitor la irukura charge mattum use panni 5v 2A dc motor a 10 seconds ku run pannanum na athukku endha capacitor & evlo mf use pannanum plzz reply pannunga sir

Sar inko doubt sir VK Mehta principles of electrical and electronics engineering book la page number 106 problem number 3 can you explain please sir
Good sir
Sir capacitor la positive charge and negative charge ku yepdi sir potential diff create aagudhu... Apo rendu plate layum electrons matum thaan irukaa sir... Plz plz clear my doubt sir
Sir I am biomedical engineer.....but defibrillator la capacitor iruku..epadi anga work aguthu sir ...please say about
Sir one dought
New Three phase power capacitor
Connected in three phase power supply
Capacitor make vibration
And capacitor takes 2.6 amps current
Why sir
capacitor fault or good condition
How to find sir
I met three best teachers in my life.
1. 10th maths sir ( mr.savarimuthu)-cuddalore
2. 12th Physics sir(Edvin Joseph Anthuvan)-cuddalore
3.T.Rajarathinam( Dept.of Maths- St.joseph's college- Trichy)
Now I added you to the list.
oru side plate la positive charge store pandrom nu solringa la,adhu electrons thana?
Puriyala sir dielectric medium thula charges yepti form akuthunu
Then less capacitance is good sir....because 10 charges requires to create 1 volt so it's capacitance is 10 and 5 charges requires to create 1 volt so its capacitance is 5....then capacitance 5 capacitor is better choice than 10 capacitance capacitor....
Am I wright sir??
nice
Sir... Is Positive charge stored at Plate A are electrons ??? 🙄
Is it for university or for +2
SIR,Is CAPACITOR ALLOWS AC/DC?
