I just got a XZ2 (Because an offer here in México), and i'm in love with it, the design in the pictures don't do justice about how the phone feels and sees for real. And the XZ3 with the update of the gorgeous display must be fantastic. And thanks Sony for don't go into the Notch path
I agree. I really want to check out this new SONY in person.. Personally I think almost anything is more interesting and exciting than the new iphones. Apple really is just coasting and releasing the same phones all the time.

This is a HUGE step in the right direction, and in SONY getting back in the game in terms of their mobile division. I am very seriously considering upgrading to this XZ3

@@usmantariq7997 The edge to edge midrange phones, like the XA2, have the fingerprint scanner on the back too. The XZ3 is 3mm thick on the side, the design wouldn't allow for a scanner on the side
This might just be my 7th Xperia device. a few cons. I'm not really bothered about the fingerprint reader as I am about the lack of dual cameras, but this devices looks stunning and from heavy xperia usage i know the software is top notch.
dual camera is a gimmick. what else other than fake bokeh effect, that you can achieve by shooting two pictures with single camera, or photoshop. i think sony focus on lens quality is more like what they do.
I think what really crazy is people complained how the xz2 spun on a table. So all sony did to fix it was put a small square block at the bottom around the usb c slot to even it out. Well done sony. Also i have no clue how people hold their phones. For me i have my index finger, middle, and ring fingers on back with my pinky acting as a support on the bottom and my fingers never rest higher than half up. That fingerprint sensor is nearly perfect for me. Also dont take it to the desert.... Sand is harder than glass and will scratch your phone haha
I am glad someone finally said it. The location of the fingerprint sensor on XZ2 is perfect and intuitive for me and I never had to "get used to" it. I suspect the people complaining come from phones with fingerprint sensors located higher up so they felt like they have had to compensate. Good observation about the cut-out at the back. I was wondering why Sony has done that. I am a little worried about the P-OLED display though because of potential burn-in issues. I love the IPS display and frankly do not notice the lack of deep blacks until I am in a dark room watching videos at higher than optimal brightness.

Not sure if you noticed on the xz premium, xz1, xz2, and xz2 premium, in direct sunlight if you have the auto brightness on, your panel gets suppppppeeerrr bright to compensate
Hey Chris, I got my XZ3 couple of days ago so I though I should provide an update. This is by far one of the BEST looking phones I have used till now. The screen is BRILLIANT. I compared it to S9+'s display and the XZ3 blows it out the back door. I love the camera, dynamic vibration, side sense (took me a bit to figure it out), responsiveness, and feel of the phone. The only complain I have for now are the buttons. For a phone that costs almost $1000 bucks, I would expect a more premium feeling tactile experience. All the buttons feel loose and make a rattling notice when I touch then (because they are relatively loose in their slots). Also, the Bokeh effect is garbage in low light. I don't have a problem with placement of the fingerprint sensor at all. It could be because I havent used a phone with one placed higher. Thanks, Chris, for helping me make a purchase decision.

It's definitely there, although running on Android Pie, the XZ3 still uses Xperia's home launcher, then of corse the themes will be there too along with the launcher.
I know you won't appreciate this comment, but for what it matters I have to say I wouldn't buy this phone because of the inadequate battery life. I use my phone all day long with my job and don't care for having to charge every little while. Even if it's a super fast charge, it just isn't for me. Aside from this, I'll say I appreciate your reviews. You do a great job of getting to the important points and you don't blabber around everything like some of the others like to do. When we want to find information and we choose to watch a review we don't want to hear about the person's acne or how their dog made a mess this morning LOL. Keep up the great reviews and we'll keep coming back for more :)

Motion Eye is still a great capable camera, in fact I'm pretty sure this is not the last time we'll see it, it's one of the most if not the most powerful camera available right now
They have different priorities with this cam compared to some other devices. As the name suggests, all about capturing things in motion. I think it still does this well, and you get the anti rolling shutter correction for video.

On your xz3 do your light colours and whites look grainy? Sort of like a paper effect, the screen protector makes it look worse too.
