happy tuesday tara! nothing happened this weekend for me. went on a-lot of walks and spent the days indoors. catching up on once upon a time (i'm on season six), watching the nba finale game between nuggets and lakers and finishing up passion projects for my brand 🥰
Was a yard girl...had great weather and happy to work on my relaxing backyard for a few hours.....I'm a hydrangea fan too.....if a limb on my hydrangea plants falls down....I clip the flowers to bring indoors and set a rock on the downed branch.....the result... the plant will take root and my plant will get bigger...it's so easy and so satisfying!
Hi Tara! I would love if you wrote down on the screen the ingredients you use when making something! You make such a good meals even if you don’t have exact measurements, but just put what goes into everything!!!
Tara, your vlogs always cheer me up. I am stuck in a rut right now. I had to say goodbye to my favorite city in the world and move back home for a while to figure things out financially. Your vlogs give me hope and make me feel like I can get back to feeling good again and to living my own awesome life. I can't wait to one day move back to that city and have my own beautiful place again. Thank you for always being so awesome.
I work from home and passed out accidentally on the sofa for an hour and a half despite setting a 25 minute timer and was feeling bad about it but I can still get my work done, make up the time a little this evening, that's the beauty and privilege of working from home and SOMETIMES YOUR BODY DEMANDS REST! Thanks for the reminder about prioritizing balance and rest.
Plant expert: some hydrangea are perennial and some are annual/florist grade (forced in greenhouses for holidays like Mother’s Day and Easter and not intended to be outside). If those hydrangea are florist grade then they won’t survive the winter. The tag on the plants should have told you what variety of hydrangea they are. You can then look up the hardness of that specific variety in comparison to your zone (where you live). When you bought the plants they looked like maybe florist grade to my eyes and I don’t want you to be disappointed if they die. More cost effective to buy shrub perennial hydrangea that will come back year after year. Only down side is trimming back some varieties of hydrangea at end of season can prevent the plant from blooming pretty flowers next year. So you would have to put up with looking at dead sticks in the winter (but sticks are not actually dead). Some people can’t resist trimming them. They are certainly beautiful and perfect for a shady spot under trees like you have!
@@sarahgallazzi7870 some variety’s of hydrangea put their blooms out on old wood, which means in late summer/fall the next seasons blooms are present on the stalks/sticks. The blooms are dormant during the winter and emerge next spring/summer. If you were to cut down the branches you would cut off next years blooms. Many people do this and wonder, why is my hydrangea not blooming? There are a few common hydrangea types but dozens of others that have been hybridized. Some even have been made to tolerate and love the sun, like the Limelight Hydrangea. Tara did great with her research into the PH of her soil and how that can effect the color of the plant. She seems to like the blue/purple ones like me. The hydrangeas that are grown in green houses are just delicate, temporary and for show, unlike the old school hardy varieties of hydrangeas that come back and over winter in your yard.

You are literally GLOWING! Glad you had a fab time in Miami. Hydrangeas are really easy to propagate, if it snaps off again, you can just put it in the ground and it should root and make another one! I’m a plant-lover-addict… and I never waste a chance to have another plant, if a succulent drops a leaf, you best believe imma plant that sucker and get another one out of it! lol. Tip for cut hydrangeas. They LOVE water (hence HYDRAngea) So literally dunk and soak the petals (like the entire top of the flower upside down even) in water for like 20/30 minutes before placing the stem in water. Your cut hydrangea will last so much longer! 💜

TARAAAAAA!!!! I peeped your jeans in the closet and have an ORGANIZATION IDEA for youuu!!!! Instead of having three stacks going horizontal, put them all in a long vertical row (like a filing cabinet) and then you won’t have to lift any jeans up to grab the ones at the bottom!!!! Hope you see this, it’ll be a game changer!!🥰🥰🥰
Tara quick gardening tip wet the soil by the plants not just the leaves as they drink the water up through the roots but you can water the leaves too as they need water but they grow better from the roots for water

Hi Tara 😊 yes, get yourself a few plant stakes, stake them close to the plant on the uphill part, use plant tape to secure the branches to the stake. 😉 Good luck, but just remember that they will bloom again next year, so if a few find their way into a vase no harm done! 😁💐
My roses where hit hard by a bad rain storm and I went to buy rods to prop them up. I'm glad I read an article that said flowers will prop themselves back up after a few days.
PLEASE go to Walmart...the bath section where they sell shower curtains and such. Usually somewhere around there on the endcap you can find some really cute velcro bath rap si you don't have to keep holding up your towel while trying to do other things. Please get Jill one while your at it because she dose the exact same thing trying to hold up her towel. Make life easy!
I adopted the vacuum technique! GAME CHANGER!!!! I just moved and has the most disgusting ginormous spider in my room. My dad missed when he went to kill it. So I whipped out the vacuum. Found it and then I was done. I will be doing that from now on! Thank you Tara for relieving some stress in my life 😂
