+The Frisch Marionettes Puppet Shows I'm from Kingston, NY. They performed at George Washington elementary school in Kingston when I was in Kindergarten. So that would be '64. I vaguely remember announcements or posters for performances at Kingston schools in general for a few years after that, perhaps until around 1970(?). As I grew older I got the impression that they were probably regional and toured regularly. It's possible they were national, I couldn't have known for certain myself. I guessed that maybe it was a family business that for some reason couldn't continue into the next generation. Then again, I don't know anything for certain. They made an impression on me that has lasted. I'm still fascinated by Fireball XL5 too, which aired on American TV at the same time. I'm glad I was able to find the latter on youtube, but no sign of Hershey's anywhere yet. I've wanted to have a part in this type of venue as far back as I can remember. I continue to have ideas for production - sets, stages, puppets, stories. (I'm always wanting to build a stage.) I've never been able to get into it due to living circumstances. And there aren't any people interested in that type of thing around here that I'm aware of. Well, back to Hershey's - I remember a fairy tale production from a scaffold-like platform/stage framed with a dark blue velvety curtain. After the performance, the man directing/operating brought some of the puppets out to give a closer look. I remember him explaining how he made a "softer" face on one side of the antagonist and a scowl on the other. He would position the marionette stage left or right depending on the scene, with the appropriate disposition facing toward the audience. I'd like to offer more, but I was only 5. I do remember being as excited and wonder-struck as Christmas, though. In fact, I'm thinking now of a Christmas production just since I typed it.
I am writing my first solo puppet show and I am watching all of your videos getting very inspired

The song is Crocodile Rock, see above.
I remember Hershey's marionette's from when I was 5 (circa '65). I wish I could find something online. Would Scott H. happen to be of that family?
+jerriosity I don't know but I don't think so. I can't find anything on Hershey's Marionettes either. What part of the country did they perform?
