Imagine if Katherine Jenkins had played the singer in the film DIVA and everyone wondered who the real voice was behind the character she played. The shock they would get when they found out it was actually herself singing. WOW.
This people need to realise is this is how the song should have been sung in the film! The original film version was supposed to be an “opera singer” which was no where close to opera, it was sung so poppy and so not opera... Katherine is singing it how it should be sung, and this for me Is the best version and the really opera version it should have been!!! Clearly all the haters don’t know what opera is if they think the original was 🙄

Katherine Jenkins is the ONLY singer so far where she pronounces "me" as it is supposed to be pronounced (me), unlike the rest who pronounce the word "me" as if it were a verb"may" or the month "May" which, of course, grammatically INCORRECT!
It depends on the singer's technique and capability. Bigger notes need more space - so the 'may' sound opens the mouth more than 'me' - allowing for a stronger note

As a singer I can tell you that belting this song the way the original singer Loren Alfred sings it is way more difficult technique wise than just making the song into an operatic piece. The better singer is Loren. Pretty I guess , and I agree beautiful dress. Btw Katherine Jenkins knows what I’m writing is totally true.
Wow. This is so beautiful. *This is what it should've sounded like in the movie.* This is actual opera-style singing. What the voice actress for the movie did was plain pop singer belting (other than maybe the first verse) and not operatic at all. They already had a different person for the singing voice than the actress we saw on screen, so why couldn't they just do it properly and have a real opera singer do it?
She's obviously a very good singer, but this is not the type of song that suits her style. A pop-type of voice rather than classical approach would give it a more pleasing flow... as you can hear from Loren Alred's version.

My teacher in college worked with her; he said she's appalling. This is what he said about her to us: "She has no vocal technique. She has fake boobs and arse." Lol
