The old GarageBand had an icon next to the loops icon that could import music from ur library , is that button not in this update ? Dragging it from downloads is not as convenient
Totally right! I just tried to import music from iTunes and there's no way to do it! I couldn't even find a way to import anything, or export. After audacity envelope tool totally threw me, I was hoping GB might be more accessible. So far, I'm not optimistic.
sorry, why is your icon 2d how to change whole apps instrument icon to "3d"。Because my garageband change my instrument icon from "3d" to 2d automatic and I don't know how to change it back all i can found on internet is go to track icon and change one by one manualy. thankyou 🙏
@@TheGaragebandGuide i can’t seem to find it. i’m trying to make a reggaeton type of song with a soft melody but all the sounds are too loud or just doesn’t fit the vibe. do you have any recommendations?
I don't know if im going crazy or my garageband was weird, but I was able to place notes without holding down command. now with the new update I can't. is there a toggle button?
Hi Patrick, sorry but I’m having a major brain freeze ! Mid sixties syndrome ! I’m trying to play piano on one Chanel and strings on the same Chanel at the same time…. I know this is possible but struggling to work it out ! HELP !
I`m an ex pro drummer with no room to mic up a drumkit for the time being and find GB drummer frustrating as it rarely does what I wish. I have trouble finding a basic `Rim Click`(sidestick) loop to get started on ideas, why can`t it be quicker to get going? Other than that I love the DAW.
Use the click! You can vary the tone of it. If you want a special pattern use your keyboard and punch up the drum kits in GB - I NEVER use the 'drummer' or Loops, leave that for iOS kids. I "finger drum" on MIDI keys M Audio Keystation 61 to be exact, that way you can trigger real drums from Vintage Rodgers to new DWs or saggy Ludwigs by tapping the keys with of course human feel. The sets that come with GB are FINE but if you want more check out EZ drummer. 👀
@@cuda426hemi Hi I appreciate your help. I've used my M-Audio Keyrig 49 to finger drum but even with my good timing I have to 'line it all up' I try find a basic loop I can edit and use the Hi hat part as a guide for my finger drums part with 'Groove Matching' enabled. It seems lining parts up line bass notes ,etc is what needs to be done? I stopped using my EZ Drummer good sounds except the Ride cymbal doesn't seem to have a mic on it .I'm just being fussy I suppose. I bought a Yamaha FGDP Finger drum pad to see if it help, seems there's no quantize function, lol Thanks though Will check your channel!
@@batphink2655 All good my friend. As of now I ain't got no channel for you to check out but I will be blasting a bunch of nonsense multi track soon. I started on real drums as kid but switched to guitar, played Bass on tour, fake everything else lol. Keep in mind you can finger tap any hi hat and change the instrument to another kit (or instrument for that matter) later being MIDI and you can invoke the quantize in GB Editor and set the note 1/16th 1/8th whatever, EQ the F out of it blahblah but I appreciate your frustration! 👀
Try EZ Drummer3 by Toontracks gives U lots of flexibility, & even more samples/ kits, it is it’s own song production program, or just use for drums, Then export to your DAW. Then U will really understand all the great GB drum options, as U combine them. Ie. Substituting GB samples for initial file sounds. Basics from EZD 3, then sound design w/ Mac
@@l.harrison9725 You didn't read his post. Nobody needs to waste money on Toontracks stuff. I got my V2 free and looking back don't need any of the "features" save the samples and all they do is pester to upgrade for why? lol. Now I realize you can get batter samples anywhere for free, heck entire pro percussion from UK guys at Spitfire for one. EZ Bass, Drums etc seem to be for non players - waste of money for players like the above poster and me. The idea of GB is everything FREE. No reason ever to waste money. 👀
Hi, can you tell me how I add a section in GarageBand on Mac. On iPhone or iPad it seems to be just by clicking a + sign on the screen but I can’t find anything like that on my mini Mac version of GarageBand.
A lot of my loops are still grayed out with a download button right next to it, I can’t click it though… Also I can’t click on download all sounds, it’s greyed out too. Does anyone know what to do?
I absolutely love this. I am new to your page and Garage Band. Fabulous.
Garage Band is actually GarageBand!
Nice video. I’ve been hitting little keys on my iPhone for a couple years. I’ve updated to a MacBook Pro and a nice midi keyboard. Thanks.
Merci beaucoup et bonne année, bonne santé et réussite dans tous vos projets 🙏🏻👍🏼🍒
Can you make a tutorial for how to bring a GarageBand iOS project to Logic Pro for Mac?

You can export it or share it with airdrop

I don't see myself purchasing Logc Pro if the same plug-in issues exist. Or gp completely DAWless.
