Keep at it, keep on trekking! I truly appreciate you sharing this journey with all of us. You are an inspiration and I’m here to see you succeed. Super excited for the report on your 🥧! 🥾🥾🙌🏽🤜🏽🤛🏻
Quitting nicotine (smoking, vaping, dipping, et al) is super easy .... I did it 3 or 4 times! 😂 Seriously though, it's hard if you have an addiction to nicotine and not just a "habit". By the Grace of God, I finally whipped my 40 yr addiction and life is so much better now. Hoping you can do the same if you so desire. Happy Trails!!
Hi Sarah 👋thank you for the beautiful scenery, sunrise 👍sorry to hear about your tooth, but doesn't hurt your smile😊stay safe and take care my friend 🙏✌️
The desert can get seriously windy. Sometimes when it’s not looking like rain it’s almost better to cowboy camp. As long as you can stay warm you will be ok. But Mt San Jacinto can be really cold as can the sierras. Can get below zero even in summer. As long as you have enough layers snd are moving you should be ok. WA state also gets bitterly cold. But got most of the desert your layers should be ok. Julian is so fun. Wishing you the best in the trail. Tooth will get fixed. My tooth got chipped over Xmas. What a great time to need dentistry. Got a patch then they made a crown to fix it a month later. You’ll figure it out. I know you’ll do well on your adventures
wishing you all the best on your journey on the pct. I have watched many videos on the pct and have fell in love with the trail. the views are abousutly beautiful. Keep on rocking the trail
For the willing heart there is something very special about a long hike for purging the soul. I find it easier to confront and conquer my character flaws during the long trail hours and the quiet evenings. Each evening I try to lay down on paper my physical, mental and spiritual journey of the day.
Beautiful scenery . . . I am not much of a fan of arid/desert countryside but you sure are showing the best of it!!! I can't wait to see your videos in the high country of the Sierra and the Volcanos up north . . . but I got WAY ahead of us all HA! Enjoy EVERY moment of it!!!!
I didn’t see any trash in your video. Just awesome beauty in God’s creation. It’s a joy to see your smile and know that you are on the trail with the one who loves you unconditionally, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. You are a special young lady.
That area is incredibly notorious for the wind. Time to be careful of sunburn and windburn. We are excited about your journey and every day look forward to your updates. Go Girl Go.
A Tooth Restoration Pro Tip: get veneers on both front teeth! Otherwise, the difference in texture and color will be noticeable. Trust me on this! I’ve dealt with a damaged front tooth since I was 15. I finally had to get an implant, but the good news is that for the first time in 40 yrs both of my front teeth match so perfectly. I had a veneer made for the adjoining front tooth at the same time the crown for the implant was made. They are beautiful and my smile is perfect now. Good Luck!
Praying for safe passage for you. The storm that came through today was wet, lots of new snow in San Jacinto and up in Big Bear. Be prepared and be safe!
Sorry about your tooth. Can I ask, see u r rocking the zero bag. I'm on the fence about bringing either my zero or 20.. how cold is it getting at night... be safe and Jonathan is right. You are killing it....UD
Thank you for your newest post sorry to hear about your tooth hope it is not causing you pain I am enjoying the view of the desert the one part in your video I liked is when you just stopped and was living that moment be safe stay healthy
Just so you know, you are beautiful, even with that chipped tooth, and NEVER will you be thought of as trail trash. Love you Sarah, keep on trucking!!!
You can get away without a puffy if you're not really spending anytime around camp in the morning or evening I had a similar style - right out of bed onto the trail. I also hated hanging around in the evening, so I'd hike until it was time to crash. As I slowed down, I got a 800 montbell alpine vest that provided great warmth in between sleeping and hiking. It only weighs something like 10oz and is something I now always pack. I'd highly advise looking into getting one. PS I feel sorry for the hikers starting right now or between towns. This is the largest storm to hit socal this year.
Bless your ❤ . Sorry to hear about your tooth. I quit smoking 20 years ago. It is hard but with the good Lord you can do it. Be careful and be safe. I am 🙏. Hugs, Mama Tee
Followed you on the AT and now following your PCT hike. Glad you don't vape in the videos. Children and grandchildren watch your videos and we all think you are awesome (and Jonathan) and hold you in high esteem. Hope you can kick the nicotine. Keep posting those awesome videos.
I chipped my front tooth in the exact same spot. I dealt with it for about eight years with fillings that would last 1 to 2 years each. Finally, I had my two front teeth capped. No problems since. I suspect a filling and caution when eating will get you through the rest of this hike.
Or just leave it until you get back home. It doesn't look that bad to us, but I know it's bugging you in the mirror, and you keep playing with it with your tongue.
You can’t even notice the chip until you show it to us. But, I understand how it can upset you. Do what you have to in order to feel good about yourself. The video is amazing as always.
You might want to consider a puffy vest and a warm balaclava. Lighter and more versatile in warm, but changeable, weather than a puffy jacket. I quit smoking 40 years ago, when I got engaged. It took a bunch of tries (and some Skoal and Copenhagen), but it was worth it. You never can be sure what chemicals are in your tobacco or vaping cartridges (is that what they're called?). Good "luck" with the tooth. Take care. Vaya con Dios!🙏
I smoked for so many years, thankfully back then, vaping wasn’t an option. Think of this as a part of thru hiking as a way to get healthy- tough as shit- but so good for you! It’s all about you in the long game….
A broken arm on the AT, and now this. I hope it means you are safe for the rest of this thru hike. Perhaps you shouldn't go for a triple crown. Who know what you might break! Kidding! Go for it!
Maybe by the time you finish the hike you will decide you don't need to vape anymore. Your lungs will thank you You are surrounded by Nature and in the best place there is to sort things out. Take care, Big Squeeze
Nah, say it ain't so... when has a little wind slowed you down... 3 miles an hour, he is right, your are crushing the miles, just don't miss all the view and mother nature around you... my drug of choice is caffeine, coffee, coffee and oh yes coffee... hiker trash, could hardly notice... rocking the hat... Chow, shower, laundry, and did I say Chow... SAFE HIKING
I chipped my front tooth on a fork while eating salad once. I had to laugh at how pretty dumb that was. 🥴 Was a little worried when we didn't hear from you in a few days. Glad you're ok!
Sounds like you don’t want to quit nicotine (and many other harmful chemicals in the vapor- it's not tobacco). Our habits determine the future. Sounds like you have the willpower.
Well....? What happened gurl? All this build up and you didn't tell us how you cracked your tooth. Lol anyways, always enjoy your videos and glad to see your out on the pct.
Hey, if you aren't physically f@cked up in some way, you never really did anything imo. Idk if the chip doesn't hurt, don't let it slow you down until you want to. I've sewn my finger back onto my left hand lol, you're doin fine.
This channel has made me want to explore again. Ty

You're doing great out there. I am really enjoying the views. Here in South Dakota it is windy and cool.
Beautiful scenery, lot different than the AT. Stay safe and hike on !

@Underdog On the Appalachian Trail👊🏼 It’s been worth it for me. Had a few really cold nights up high. Probably will switch after the Sierras🙌🏻

Followed you on the AT and now following your PCT hike. Glad you don't vape in the videos. Children and grandchildren watch your videos and we all think you are awesome (and Jonathan) and hold you in high esteem. Hope you can kick the nicotine. Keep posting those awesome videos.
Your chipped tooth gives you some extra character :-)
It's good to see you back on trail. I watched you on the AT and loved your videos. Good luck with your dentist appt. I hope you get your tooth fixed.

What is your daily milage? How many hours does it take you? Are you still pushing out 20+ miles a day, I think you probably are.
You can’t even notice the chip until you show it to us. But, I understand how it can upset you. Do what you have to in order to feel good about yourself. The video is amazing as always.

A bit different from the AT…all the best on this new adventure 🙂🙏
Hope you are doing well. Tooth chip gives you character. You always look fine. Take care and stay well.
Sorry about your tooth. Loving each video.💕
Ah well at least it was only a little chip, so small blessings, it could have been worse. You're killin it, keep up the good work!!!
Maybe by the time you finish the hike you will decide you don't need to vape anymore. Your lungs will thank you
You are surrounded by Nature and in the best place there is to sort things out.
Take care, Big Squeeze
Good video with some good views, so let's keep on hiking
Hate to hear you chip your tooth. Keep on hiking!! Going to follow you all the way. Go girl!!
You are rockin’ it!🙌
Loving your content. Double up on the vape juice. Worth the added weight.
Hang in there !!!
Cool. You handled it. Done. And done
My stepson passed away last year at 50, he had holes in his lungs from vaping. There was nothing they could do…I hope you are able to quit.
All the rain today will give you water to drink in the San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains!
Is your other half joining you on trail this year?
@Lonny Wheeler I wish but he’s working 🙏🥲
@@TheBlazinBakers He home with your dogs spoiling them.

I chipped my front tooth on a fork while eating salad once. I had to laugh at how pretty dumb that was. 🥴

You don’t need no stinking chip fixed! Keep hiking
I saw a video where a hiker had his chest strap run through the loop on his hat in case the wind blew it off.
Sorry about you chipping your tooth.
Well....? What happened gurl? All this build up and you didn't tell us how you cracked your tooth. Lol anyways, always enjoy your videos and glad to see your out on the pct.
@Nick Mountain next chapter 😉
