Nope. The quality will be lowered down/compressed/converted into smaller sizes, resulting in a degrade of quality. It still looks good, but not as good as in the gallery
If you're on android 8 yes, but the camera 2 API fixes it. Most social media apps just haven't adapted it.

I think the problem is budget phone manufacturers. They have spotty access to their pre-installed apps, and probably don't support newer protocols well enough yet.

Actually he's right but with exceptions, the Samsung S22 & S23 series, the google pixel 6, 7, 8 series are such great phones for social media photo/video recording bcz they totally support 3rd party camera apps, I used both of iphone 12 pro max and pixel 7 pro for social media apps and they're both doing great

Some of the newer phones have native camera support! i think the newest Samsung Galaxy/Note phones have support for them.

The only Andriod camera that actually holds up to apple is the Samsung galaxy S10. Old phone but that camera/videos still kicks a__.
Some Androids get around this by using manufacturer-specific camera apps that send camera data to apps
Imo these sm companies should be able to work with the flagship androids. I understand not working with every single android, but it shouldn't be that difficult to work with the flagships

@@metsys7928 yeah, you're right, I used a note 20 ultra recently and there was a considerable amount of shutter lag and delay in lens switching. Good thing they fixed it, btw the lens switching and shutter is very smooth on Sony flagships

This is absolute nonsense. Android HAL APIs connect to the underlying OEM drivers for the specific camera hardware. If you are getting bad video its because you have a crap phone with a crap camera or the OEM couldn't be bothered to update their drivers/HAL, you are just using a poorly written app.

Samsung Galaxy RULES! Samsung had 8K video long before the iPhone. Samsung had replaceable battery (never availble on iPhone). S23 Ultra has 200MP camera compared to the newest iPhone measly 48MP. Samsung has USB-C charging -vs- iPhones STUPID slow and expensive "lightening" connector. Samsung phones will work with ANY smartwatch or other external devices; the iPhone is very restrictive and forces you to buy overprice options from Apple. iPhone is made by Communist-run semi-slave labor in Chinese sweatshops where Samsung is made in the free democratic nation of South Korea. MANY parts used in the iPhone are made by Samsung!

This video is misleading. At least a little, Google has partnered with social media platforms and so has Samsung to fix this issue. Its been roughly 3 years if i can recall. They hyped this during their release conference. It was a big selling point for Android users. All other OEMs are still trash.

Vedio quality sucks both in android and iphn .... it totally depends on the app's photo limitation and the net you are using and it's friendly bandwidth with the app that time when you are uploading something...
Apple also tightly controls the market too, Meaning they most likely paid these companies to not optimize Android so that they have a reason to justify their insane prices

That is why I never use the app cameras. Use your phones default camera and upload the pics/videos.

android has a camera api that apps can use for accessing full quality picture / video.
and i doubt ios apps has to directly access the camera module either, cuz that would be a horrible, non-scalable design as it will break every time any new iphone cones out with a new sensor.

Android does have a camera2 api which lets access to the camera sensor. App developers are the ones who choose not to use it and rather use viewfinder screen recording instead. Now should I report your video as false information?
