It comes with 4 batteries, but has slots for 4 more to increase the time it can be used. I'm just setting up my exact same trail cam for the first time and this video was very helpful.
Great video, Ovi! Glad to know that Hayden is doing well. I recommended my uncle who is a retired mechanic to Hayden when he was having trouble with his car about three years ago, but by the time the video was posted, he emailed back saying he had already found someone to fix it.
Try setting up the camera without any branches right in front of it. when they move in the wind it is triggering the camera to start recording when there is nothing there.

Definitely a learning experience! 😊 I found that lithium batteries will last better in cold weather. They are more expensive though. My trail cam has a sensitivity setting and that needs to be medium in my case anyway. Also twigs and goldenrod will move around too much and give you a bunch of empty videos. I have extra cards to swap out to save on trips to the cams. I hope you get it figured out. ❤❤

Did you turn the switch to OFF from ON when you got the card out? I put mine outside two nights ago, followed instructions of quick setup, and the only thing I got was me opening the camera to check if I got anything. When I checked I turned the camera from ON to TEST to use the replay function. Ugh. Bummed.
I haven’t checked mine since January I had an incident where the chickens got killed so I wanted to check yesterday’s video how do I get to yesterday’s video or should I have been deleting every month

Dear Ovi, thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I purchased the Trail cam thinking it would be cheaper then a full blown security system; the only problem is, I am far from a computer geek and know enough about electronics to be dangerous.

Up here where I am at we have problems with foxes, raccoons, and weasels eating our chickens. Very common up here.

Those camera goes though a lot of batteries. You should of got the one with the Solar panel. Those branches on the view of the camera you should take them out so you don’t get no false videos and extend the SD card life.

I'm keeping that blade as a souvenir. Must have come from inside one of the big softwood logs I loaded. Amazing how the wood grew around it.
