Fantastic, Zara, I love your lessons.I am just starting with Pastels, I have a box of 24 Faber Castell pitt pencils, I will have to use them until I improve then try some others..
@alexgroundy1616 thank you so much 🥰. So pleased to hear that. The blue cat eye tutorial is all done in pastel pencils so that may be a good one to watch 😊
Zara, you're amazing! When you get a commission for pets, does the customer choose the medium they want, or do you choose? And if so, what makes you choose between acrylics or pastel?
@Jenn..N so kind, thank you ❤️ This is a great question.. The client mainly chooses but if I feel the photo is better suited for a specific medium I'll then give my opinion and then they can go with that or their original preference. What makes me decide between pastel or acrylic is mainly the softness. Is the fur is really soft or I need to blend more then I'd be tempted to use pastels but really acrylics also works well but pastels does have an exceptionally soft look when the right techniques are used. So that's really the only thing that would make me sway towards pastels.
@andreakaraszi3311 not this one as this was a commission but I can plan something very similar. I do have a focus tutorial that shows the fur textures for the muzzle. All the tutorials are listed on my Patreon library so you can see what is there =)
@@zaratomsartthank you for your answer :) yes, i have already learnt a lot from you, planning to continue soon. This dog has very nice color, similar to some bit mixed wire-haired dachshunds'. Would be good to see one from that type from you :)
I love all of your work, but this portrait is particularly striking.
@karenwalker5162 thank you 🥰❤️

Good day! I love to draw, but I don't have time to draw because I don't have time. Best regards😀
What do you use to put black color?
What make of pencil is the large chunky black one?
@@JeanetteTharme it's a Cretacolor stick.
Are you going to have a tutorial of this dog on Patreon?
