Tip for the rock hounds: get some coarse wet/dry sand paper and smooth down. Then get some ultra fine grit sandpaper like 2000 and most rocks will get shiny. Some don’t but most do. That is what I have found instead of buying a rock tumbler.
A couple years back Clara & I looked into a rock tumbler, and shied away due to price. Thank you so much for your insightful tip! I am going to try shining up one of my rocks right now. We have some sand paper lying around from the dollar store. I’ll let you know how it goes :)
