Thanks for the videos. Just completed this on my 18 jk. The kit was great, one problem was the in line fuse that came with kit was bad. Freaked me out when it didn't work, an easy $3 fix though. I removed the doors to do this and think it's much easier, work in the ac and not dealing with the door swinging around. Plus don't have to tape the windows. My biggest issue was being stupid and crimping wires b4 I would fish them through door panel or sleeve. Your videos combined with the included instructions made this pretty straight forward. Great tips on trimming metal rods for front actuators and I just tightly wrapped electrical tape around rod end to fill the lock mechanism hole more. Also used some thick weather strip foam in place of their cheap stuff. Again, great tips. Thanks.
Thank you for the kind words , great idea on taking doors off ,make it easier for sure , I was just too chicken , me being clumsy figured I would drop it for sure :)
I have been thinking about getting the power locks myself with the tailgate. I just wanted to know if this kit includes the lock/unlock switch on both the driver and passenger doors?
no this kit does NOT include any switches to operate the lock/unlock function, the only options are manual locks or the key fob to operate all locks at once, hope this helps, if I recall I think there is a terminal to wire in a button to operate but it is not included
Did you hook up this kit to the ignition? I have been trying to find out what ignition wire I need to tie into. It says pink/black but I don’t have one of those. I have a pink/brown and pink/white.
Hey do the kits come with everything because I was looking at the kit with the alarm and it says (requires 8617 relay), an auxillary output and starter kill. Do I have to also buy those along with the kit?
Hi , I am not sure actually , I only used the lock function , and it is complete for use with the locks. The controller has other functions it is capable of , but it is possible extra relays would be required for those functions.
Hi, thanks for watching ,actually the power is not switched at all , it is run from the battery and is fuse protected at the battery, the controller is a radio receiver so it has to be powered all the time for remotes to work , any other questions feel free to ask
I hooked up the yellow wire to the 12v outlet which is ignition switched. This is used to lock doors when you start the vehicle and it unlocks when the ignition is turned off (when u open the driver door). I imagine if you don't hook up the yellow wire you don't get that feature and you strictly work off of remote. Any ignition switched circuit would work, I didn't want to mess with the ignition harness though

Did you hook up the switched power to the ignition wire under the dash?

@zatara could you explain more about this? I am trying to tie in somewhere. Need to know which wire to tie into.
Zatara did that work for you?
How are the locks holding up after some time, would you get the same kit again?
have had excellent luck with this kit so far zero problems , would buy it again !!!
