I have the ht blub 40 mk ll since dec. 2018, and I love it, a dunlop wah wah and a behringer tube overdrive in fron´t, with a behringer vintage delay and behringer graphic eq, in the effects loop.
Love my blackstar HT 20 combo . I use Fortin 33 Overdrive pedal in front of the amp and sounds killer \m/
They are great. Especially for the money!

how does it takes to pedals?
Try running a preamp pedal or any multi fx in the loop hahaha,it will not work,because they use the guitar input for the standby.
I got this amp blackstar ht 20 studio head with the included 1*12 cabinet. Its has always sounded a bit fizzy too me and i have no clue why. Does you/anyone else have the same experience with it? Its not noise from the guitar its just a fizz in the background. Really annoying when playing clean expeccially.
I never really had an issue with that. I don't own this amp any longer, but for the money I was a pretty big fan of it. It could be the speaker that you're running in the cabinet. Thanks for checking out the video!
Same exact issue here. This is the worst amp I have ever had. I totally disagree with the video. BS amp. The clean is absolutely dull, and the overdrive sounds like a cheap transistor overdrive. Anyway, I have the same issue and I have read somewhere that it is due to the preamp valve.

@@MetalMathiasTP most topics I have read speak about changing the pre-amp valves, but that would mean additional purchase and I am not very familiar with the process...
I will say that I had this amp in both a head and combo version. The combo was very fizzy through the speaker that it had. Also I believe they did have different preamp tubes which made a difference.
The one and only Blackstar I ever had, stage 100 el34s, sounded like it had a blanket over it while at the same time killing my ears. Didn't matter what I tried. Just pushes all the wrong frequencies. My opinion.

I totally LOVE my ht stage 100. I cannot get a bad sound out of it. Especially the emulated out. You just have a different taste or style. It's normal. I have had the same experience with other amps myself. All good.
hey. I got a question. I just bought blackstar mkii 100watts and cabinet 160 watts. how do I plug the speaker cables? I don't know where to plug

Lol depends on what speakers are in the cabinet. What impedance are they?
@@TaylorSchlupp htv 212 mkii cabinets. there are two speakers. mono 16 and mono 4. stereo 8 ohms. my head amp has 2x16 and 1x16. I'm sure where to plug the 2x16

clean sounds like ss amp
Not really I've owned a lot of amps. This clean channel is probably similar to a Mesa Boogie Stiletto. I currently own a Blackstar ht20 its not bad it lacks something on the OD channel maybe since it has no presence knob. Its the closest to the Mesa Stiletto I've owned.
It has ss preamp. Blackstar amps are hybrid

People have said HT means hybrid tube, but it stands for high tension.
They are glorified toys
