Very cool vid.. Love the riffs.. Esoecially the last one.. Git the Orion vibe, which is a superb compliment.. Exploring the zillion of options of smaller alltube heads.. Blackstar seems like a decent and a useful and a versatile amp.. Yet i havent heardit yet to sound exciting, in a lacknof better explanation.. St james 6l6 is imho their best so far high gain effort.. Very neat features as well... But with ootions such as prs mt15 and engl fireball 25..even the dsl20hr being the cheaoest of the bunch, but def with teeth.. Ah.. Blessed with too many ootions
Dude your getting great tones from that Black Star Amp... I never take my nice amps on the road I always bring my HT Studio 20 heads.. And when Im on a gear search in a new town... if I see a older HT 20 Studio head.... I buy it.... always as a back up My nice amps stay home...🙂👍 Because you can find BS ht 20 cheap $300 usually sometimes $250... My 1964 black panel Fender vibrolux reverb cost me $ 4000....its a no brainier really. Black star GT 20 all the way.......😎👍
I've bought several lower watt amps this year... and they just don't do it for me. They all lack a presence knob and I feel they really need it because the tone is too dark for my liking and I'm forced to do the 10 band EQ in the Fxloop trick... No more mini amps for me unless they have that presence knob at least.
I end up turning the bass down on these amps and it helps, my only issue with a presence control is sometimes all it adds is that sizzle sound which I don't care for.
I play my HT-20 head through a captor-x. The versatility of the blackstar with the ability to change speakers using the captor-x is all I need. Not like i’m going to get signed for a record deal 😂 P.S. I think you dialed in some really tones!
All those tones sound amazing 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Bad ass riff at 6:57!
I'm going to be testing the Blackstar ht studio 20 against the Marshall jcm 800 20 watt tube head tomorrow
I'd love to see that... please 🙏
whats a good 20-50 amp head then?

👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
If your Mesa is wired at 8ohm, try a cab wired at 16ohm. That should be less "boxy". But the low mid sound it has now is pretty cool as it is.
Same issue with 8ohm and 16ohm cabinets. It records well. Cheers -Ryan
The prs archon is my goto amp tho
I have the black star club combo, doesn’t sound this good!
