NYT - 14. 01. 2025 - China announced on Monday that its trade surplus reached almost $1 trillion last year as its exports swamped the globe, while the country’s own businesses and households spent cautiously on imports. China’s exports of everything from cars to solar panels have been an economic bonanza for the country. Exports have created millions of jobs not just for factory workers, whose inflation-adjusted wages have about doubled in the past decade but also for high-earning engineers, designers and research scientists.

I see deserted malls and restaurants in Shanghai and wonder what happened. I guess the Chinese people are not spending any money. I live in Los Angeles and you have a hard time finding parking at malls during the Holiday season.
I go to work and eat lunch at restaurants everyday. The average lunch in Los Angeles costs $20 USD or about 146 RMB.
What Chinese do is always extreme. Neither too many or too few. Practical society wont invest such society.
So how much is a flat in Shanghai? Should be much lower than the peak.
This is western PR, Lujiazhui is 90% commercial and at 20:45 there never was mass crown….im sure economy is down but this is over dramatic.
How is the “Super Brands mall” near the Oriental Pearl holding up?
That was the last one in the video with all the empty restaurants on the top floor.
I find the Shanghai Hanging Gardens to be hideous in the day as well as night.
“…because of the interior.. …the mall is empty.”
No - it’s empty because Shanghai is empty.
The real problem is the stupid leader😂😂 😂who is spending billions on military 😂😂and not enough freedom....
USA spends billions on military too, and what do they have ? homeless everywhere, mass shootings all year long, Crackheads in the streets, no safety, prices rising year after year... Yeah the american dream 😂

@1:23 That architecture is awe-inspiring. That has to be a tourist destination.
Everything is from 3 years ago? Shame on Beavis and Butthead.

This coming lunar new year train traffic will show the reality
NYT - 14. 01. 2025 - China announced on Monday that its trade surplus reached almost $1 trillion last year as its exports swamped the globe, while the country’s own businesses and households spent cautiously on imports. China’s exports of everything from cars to solar panels have been an economic bonanza for the country. Exports have created millions of jobs not just for factory workers, whose inflation-adjusted wages have about doubled in the past decade but also for high-earning engineers, designers and research scientists.
