The Seahorse (Tori Kelly) got eliminated because she needs to promote her Christmas album and I think she intentionally choose a not so powerful song against the croc so that she can get off the show and perform unmasked during the holiday sing along special.. remember The masked singer is a TV show at the end of the day all contestants got their screen time and promote themselves
Tori promoted her Christmas long before she was eliminated. Remember this show was completely taped back in August. She started to promote her album in October as most artist do when releasing an Christmas Album.
@@bradk7310 thats not true. she only started to really promote her album in late november, near the timing of her elimination. also, keep in mind that the show wrapped up filming in september while tori’s album was only released on 30th oct. after her exit/unmasked performance, nick cannon gave her album a shoutout, telling people to go get it, but it wasn’t even out at the time of filming. she’s also the first contestant to ever be called back unmasked to perform. scooter braun’s her manager, i’m pretty sure he could pull some strings for all this to happen.

It had 1.4 million views, twice that of any performance by any other contestant on the show. At the end of the season she was the most popular contestant with total views higher than either of the final 3 with an overage of 98% likes on 8 performances, though she finished 5th. She was definitely robbed in the eyes of the public. A "disconnect" is right.
The problem with Rottweiler (as much as I am a fan of Chris Daughtry) is that he had the vocals but not the stage presence. The fox (Wayne Brady) had it all-vocals, stage presence, energy, diversity in vocal ability… Wayne knows how to capture an audience!

I will say this, the duels of turtle vs night angle was one of the closest calls in the show, and this was the same for croc vs seahorse. The final votes were a 1% difference in croc's favor, and 5% in night angle's favor.

I'm confused.. I didn't watch the entire show.. but this video's script is making me feel like you are not understanding the word robbed? From what I saw this season was heavy on professional artists including some Grammy nominees.. since only one can win does that mean rest are robbed? Just because they have good songs in their career? What does their irl success have to do with this competition? Also isn't the point of mask so you vote according to how the music gets accross to you instead of who they are?
It is not a singing contest, as some seem to assume. It's a guessing game. Celebrities are invited to participate from varied professions...actors, Tv personalities, athletes, comedians, even politicians, etc. Singing in costume is just how they present themselves hoping to fool the judges who are trying to guess their identities The objective is to entertain without being recognized for as long as possible. The audience/judges vote for the best performer each episode, the most entertaining act, not necessarily the "best" singer. An athlete or a rapper might advance when a pro singer is voted off and unmasked. That's when people complain that their favorite got "robbed". It's all in fun for the celebrities who benefit from increased exposure. The winner gets a trophy.

I think one factor that really affects the differences in the voting between home viewers and audience is the antics of the judges. Especially Nichole and "the doctor". Everyone in season three got robbed by Kandi Burris❗️ Her old band escape went on tour without her and sold records without her just fine nobody missed her at all! When you think about all the people that have won all the mask singer season, they’re all equally talented but Kandi Burris does not belong in that group! In our house LeeAnn Rimes the winner of season four is the first female to win the mask singer. I feel like everyone else who won the Masked Singer will benefit in some kind of major way and Kandi Barris’s trophy will just sit there and collect dust (it will be nothing more than a constant reminder that she tells herself in her head that she can sing)

Seahorse being eliminated wouldn't have bugged me so much if it happened later on. I always thought sun would win but seahorse placing that low is just annoying.
For me it was PopCorn... Not just because she was phenomenal, but because I knew exactly who she was from the second she started singing on her first performance. I've been a fan of Taylor Dayne since 1988, and there is no mistaking that voice for me. So I wanted TAYLOR to make it all the way to the end, to both hear her sing more and to delay finding out that I was right.

@@BePostitive right!! nick carter just went for the popular song choice and basically stopping “performing” after his second song, opting to go with ballads. tori delivered a whole spectrum and took more risks. doing ballads was the easy way out for her as a vocalist but she didn’t wanna do it to challenge herself as a performer.

I'm confused.. I didn't watch the entire show.. but this video's script is making me feel like you are not understanding the word robbed? From what I saw this season was heavy on professional artists including some Grammy nominees.. since only one can win does that mean rest are robbed? Just because they have good songs in their career? What does their irl success have to do with this competition? Also isn't the point of mask so you vote according to how the music gets accross to you instead of who they are?
It is not a singing contest, as some seem to assume. It's a guessing game. Celebrities are invited to participate from varied professions...actors, Tv personalities, athletes, comedians, even politicians, etc. Singing in costume is just how they present themselves hoping to fool the judges who are trying to guess their identities The objective is to entertain without being recognized for as long as possible. The audience/judges vote for the best performer each episode, the most entertaining act, not necessarily the "best" singer. An athlete or a rapper might advance when a pro singer is voted off and unmasked. That's when people complain that their favorite got "robbed". It's all in fun for the celebrities who benefit from increased exposure. The winner gets a trophy.

I think one factor that really affects the differences in the voting between home viewers and audience is the antics of the judges. Especially Nichole and "the doctor". Seriously, Wayne Brady is way more talented vocally than people realize, and I don’t think people started to realize it until he was masked and nobody knew who he was. Kitty (Jackie Evancho) really wasn't robbed. I read somewhere that she had contractual obligations that prevented her from continuing on the show because it conflicted with other live performances that were previously scheduled. But she sure had everyone and their brother completely flummoxed as to who she was, and the look on people's faces at the reveal were priceless!

Everyone in season three got robbed by Kandi Burris❗️ Her old band escape went on tour without her and sold records without her just fine nobody missed her at all! When you think about all the people that have won all the mask singer season, they’re all equally talented but Kandi Burris does not belong in that group! In our house LeeAnn Rimes the winner of season four is the first female to win the mask singer. I feel like everyone else who won the Masked Singer will benefit in some kind of major way and Kandi Barris’s trophy will just sit there and collect dust (it will be nothing more than a constant reminder that she tells herself in her head that she can sing)

For me it was PopCorn... Not just because she was phenomenal, but because I knew exactly who she was from the second she started singing on her first performance. I've been a fan of Taylor Dayne since 1988, and there is no mistaking that voice for me. So I wanted TAYLOR to make it all the way to the end, to both hear her sing more and to delay finding out that I was right.
I think seahorse actually *didn’t’* get robbed. I mean she was great but crocodile put everything into his performances and he deserved to go to the final in stead of seahorse
