they're harmonics! it's a guitar technique (actually common to string instruments in general, just very common in the classical guitar repertoire). they are all sounds from the guitar.
Dynamics can be fairly subjective at times, think of playing Bach where there is no written dynamics, you have to interpret them. But just cause it’s written doesn’t mean you have to play that dynamic. Maybe in an ensemble yes, but as a solo performer it can be up to anyone.

YT ads interrupting such art are simply outrageous.
UA-cam Premium is worth it - or get an ad blocker.
@@loge10 Went for the second option. But still, wrong choice on their side IMHO.

someone making ad revenue on music over 60 years old just seems immoral imo. This is the worst site. I found Spotify changed my life
One of the greatest guitar pieces of all time.
Tremendous playing of an evocative, challenging work!
Heard this first on Breams '21st century guitar' way back when released. A landmark work, thank you for posting this.

Is this a bell ringing at 7:41 or can he play the sound of bell on his guitar ?

@@NumberOneHouseLover I know that. I'm talking about the faint toll in the background. Listen carefully.
@@glemoine14 I can hear it! Maybe 9 or 10 beats. I would have never listened to it without your comment! hahaha
I can hear it too.
Beautiful Var.3
If you can, hear "nocturnal" of Rigo Tovar.
Thanks.
Good playing, but what happened to the pianississimo at 1:03 ?
He doesnt make dinamics in the all piece.

the intro needs more expression, not only good sound, the direction is missing
