I just watched her live 3 days ago, in Brazil, it was awesome. TV was such an emotional song to hear live, with all the crowd singing "maybe I'm the problem" together, it makes you realize you're not alone in your feelings. It gave me the chills.
"the 30th" is about an accident of someone close to billie and the title is because it happened on november 30th or something

Enjoyed your reactions. Every one of her songs, hidden deep in her lyrics is an escape. If you listen carefully, there's a way out of the pain. That's what makes her music attractive despite the pain. Also, I'm not sure if you listened to "When I was Older", a single she made inspired by the movie Roma.

I just found you and I’ve loved all your reactions so far! I was so excited to see you dropped a NEW video right after I caught up with the past 3.
I don’t usually like live performances unless I’m at them but you should check out the version of No Time To Die live at the Brits. It came out between her albums, so it was the first time I ever saw her belt that note and the visual build is AMAZING, plus it has the very famous composer Hans Zimmer conducting the orchestra. Billie and Finneas worked with him, even recording on the tour bus to get the song done in time. Which is how they won an Oscar for it, I think well deserved.
The crowd is annoying af though, I wish they’d edit them out. Let us HEAR!
Also you would probably love some of Finneas’ songs too. I think he is really good at writing love songs.

You need to react to her documentary
The 30th was never really explained fully by Billie but from what I’ve collected about the song it’s about one of the people close to her getting into a car wreck and Billie passed by the wreck while she was driving. At the time she was mad about the traffic but didn’t realize till later that night that it was her friend who was being taken away in the ambulance and causing the traffic. Billie also implies that the person was changed a lot by the accident and only has some of the same qualities as before which is heartbreaking.
first of all, you missed “lo vas a olvidar” and “when I was older” but don’t worry about it teehee you can listen to them later on 😊and second of all, actually Billie talked about the story behind “Everything I wanted” she said that one night she had a dream about jumping from a bridge and obviously taking her own life but in the dream nobody cared about her death, her family, her friends, the press and even the fans didn’t care about her. She talked with Finneas about the dream and talked about wanting to make the song just about it and nothing else. That caused a huge fight between her and Finneas because he didn’t wanted to work on a song that just talked so lightly about her death, this caused Billie to reflect on what the dream meant and that’s how the whole song changed from talking about her dream to kill herself to how her brother and her have such a close bond that Finneas is ready to protect Billie anytime anywhere and how he will always be by her side.
If you haven't watched her documentary, it's a tear jerker. It makes her music make more sense too

I have to say that it is strange for me. her second album is by far the best. the first album is unbeatable in my eyes. and still, I listen to the EP the most. actually, I mostly listen to songs that were not on the last of the three "albums". so for me…
the first album will be discussed for a long time. You could give lectures at music schools. It's an impressive debut. This album contains a music critic's wet dream. It had a huge impact on the music scene and it was literally hell to make the album, but in the end it came out. You can feel so much emotion from the teenage girl on it.
HTE is musically and lyrically the pinnacle of the siblings' talent. i wouldn't be afraid to call the album art. besides, in Billie's words, it's made for us fans to enjoy. the whole album is rhythmically more relaxed and Billie herself said that this album was much easier to write. it's an album where he sheds the past and looks to the future.
but the EP "smile" is probably the one that grew on me the most. probably because of the rhythm and the hip hop vibe. it's kind of danceable in the same rhythm from start to finish. songs like watch, COPYCAT I just can't get out of my head.
but her work outside of albums is even more interesting to me. maybe because the intentions of the songs for various TV series and films "must" have some relation to the subject matter.
my top list not sorted by popularity is:

@me even though HTE is my least listened to musically, lyrically I'm also very close to it. maybe the most. it's very hard to rank albums by popularity with Billie and FINNEAS. you love the lyrics but not the music. somewhere you love the feel of the album but you don't love something else. they're complicated artists and we're complicated fans. which is probably part of the complexity and depth of their albums.
But one thing is still true. We love them for what they do for us.
