Rogue Legacy 2 - How to Beat Estuary Enoch The Stygian Study Mage Boss

- The Arcane Hollows update for Rogue Legacy 2 has landed and with it comes a new biome, 2 new sub bosses and a new mainboss, Estuary Enoch. This boss isn't a real push over and can easily defeat you if you let your guard down or don't come prepared. Luckily I've broken all his attacks and moves down so you can study his every move and easily take him down.
If this guide helped you please leave a like on this video. If you have any requests for Rogue Legacy 2 information or strategy videos leave a comment here and I'll see if I can cover it. Thanks for watching.
I was not expecting the mimic phase.
I’m a year late, but you can’t bounce off of the coins, you can however kick of the boss himself. I found it easiest to kick off him at the beginning of his run and then just dash the opposite direction and repeat until it’s finished the phase
If you can't beat True Estuary Enoch, listen what i've done. I played as Ranger. I survived false estuary enoch, of course. Battle with True Enoch looked like: You double jump and place ivy canopy, shoot at enoch from platform. When platform dissapear you run away from enoch, when your talent renew you repeat the double jump, ivy canopy, shooting.
I might try that
My recommendation is gunslinger. His ability to both have a lot of space and do a lot of damage makes him great for taking out the first phase. And during the second, you can just fire downwards to float for long enough to completely nullify the poison coin attack.
For some reasons, Cook worked really well in this fight. Especially on Mimic phase (due to DoT effect from his weapon, and the fact that you can take your time and heal wounds with soup). However, it takes time, and it`s more "Hit and run" strategy.
Struggled with Barbarian, however. He does extremely good in first phase, but it`s almost impossible to attack mimic.
I like this strat. I was too much a coward to try cook, though most my dungeon runs this time around we're cook based.
@@pixel0 People often say that Cook is weak, but never noticed that. He is quite versatile, especially with new ability to gain soups from potions, and deals some serious damage with DoT (even better with status duration runes).
Also, he can deal with poisoned coins in Phase 2, or deflect fireball spam/homing missiles in Phase 1. Not as good as Valkyrie, however, but still.
Did it the first try after watching this! The mimic phase was kicking my butt. I was trying to jump in his jumping phase. Bad idea. Anyway, I didn't use two dashes. I jumped kicked off of him and then dashed into the wall to stay up long enough to avoid his poison coins. Thank you for the tips!
Glad the video helped!
this is a good idea, im going to have to try this since i dont have any dash runes
Currently fighting him! Didn't expect the mimic, and this has helped a LOT
u beat him yet?
@@andrehutchinson6463 not yet, sadly. Haven't had the time today to try
I beat the Mage taking two hits with the assassin then got wrecked not knowing it was a false boss. I have a much weaker character and didn't think to use the jump rest rune you find on the level.
Tips: Valkyrie, Knight are helpful for the fight and windwall magic helps take your time to hit don’t rush the fight or else you will left with very low hp to the mimic fight.
Exactly. I found knight to be my favorite for the fight due to health pool and dmg. Valkyrie sounds good too. I agree conserving health and going slow in the first form is also very important because the mimick can bleed you good if you're not prepared to mitigate its attacks.
@@pixel0 Valkyrie’s talent Deflect can be spam when the boss is doing the random fire balls just be close to it and spam the talent also I don’t think you can echo strike the poisoned coin but the fire flask maybe it can.
tip: don't play any other class than Valkyrie or Knight
Is there a good guide that helps with the mimic phase that doesn't include 2 dash runes? You could easily beat the mimic phase untouched with that. I keep dying on the green coins and I have no idea where to even get one dash rune.
I would like to point out that for some reason…you do not get contact damage from this boss.
KNOWLEDGE HERE!!! JUST SMOKED HIS ASS WITH THE BARD. just keep music notes around him and keep kicking them then do the bard shout on his spells and kick those I just flawless victory his ass lol
The barbarian was an amazing pock for this boss, specially in the mimic fase, it was a piece of cake 😂
How you can double dash?
I have heard the name Enoch before but idk what it means
Absolute garbage design. 2 bosses back to back.
you should consider adding a spoiler alert notice to this video the chest seems like something that was meant to be experienced not watched.
Lol..really? Any boss fight walkthrough is a spoiler in and of itself.
