Thank you for uploading this - I studied in Colchester 1998-2001 and this brought back memories. I think where Primark is now there used to be C&A and Virgin in that area. I used to love going to Spoils shop (they sold mugs, plates, toys etc etc), and Vagabonds cafe. All those places aren't there anymore but I can vaguely remember where they are, while I watched your video. Good memories :)

I didn’t know Colchester had a Spoils shop (our closest Spoils was in Romford) and it reminded me buying all the stuff for our first house... still have some jars I think... Regarding C&A comments - it was a BHS before Primark, miss the BHS lighting department! Thanks again!
This is a historical video showing Colchester in this locked down state. Very sad to see it but we did what we thought was best to protect each other even if it meant such a great cost to these fine establishments. Great job in taking this video.

I live in Colchester my hole life and I have never ever seen Colchester like this before it was very upsetting for me.
Why was it upsetting, I'm looking at homes there but am afraid of the racism, is it bad?
