😊God bless you, Brother Alex! This video really opened up some new creative avenues for using Scaler 2. Thanks for another great tutorial! I've been using Scaler since October 2021, and found it to be a little bit daunting. But in a short amount of time you've simplified it in such a way that doesn't stammer the fun in songwriting. Thank you! Love your workflow. My new go-to source for music creation.
You are the ‘go to’ guy for Scaler 2 music producing as far as I’m concerned! Will you be doing more with subsequent versions of Scaler 2? Right now we’re on 2.7. I hope so. 😊
But what if I want to create REAL music like I learned working on my music education degree at USU starting in 1972? It sounds like things have gone back in time - fancy software that sounds no better than the comadore 64 or 16 or 8 bit trackers of the '80s. Beam me up!
I don't understand how to use this fully. Seems like there's quite a lot to it. I usually just find progressions I like then, we'll at least in ios version, I just press record and come up with something. You can just tap on it while it's recording and it catches the midi.
Hi Alex! I love your videos my friend. AWESOME. I have a question for you. I am following along with you with Scaler 2.2 and am using the the same Future Bass 4 chords you are using with the same playback durations setup but when I play back the pattern the timing sounds a little off and not like yours. My chord durations in settings are "2 Beats" but the payback is not like yours. My playback sound kind of robotic, especially the first two chords. If I change the first to chord durations from x 0.75 to x 0.66 then my chord playback is more inline with yours. Am I missing something? Best Regards, Kai
No worries. I have my bpm at 145, you might have yours at a “ half time “ so 75 or 80. That will affect the “2 beats” you’d have to change yours to 1 beat. My chord duration was .75, .75, 2.5, 2 and 2 . Try that and see if it helps. I’ll do better at breaking this down in the videos . Thanks for checking in homie. 💪🏄🏻♂️🏝
@@AlohaAlex Thanks so much my friend!! Once I changed my tempo from 120 to 145 that did the trick. You got me wanting to really get into Scaler and create something spectacular. What are your thoughts on Chord Prism? Man I wish you all the best and you got a new follower.
@@AlohaAlex Hey AlohaAlex I have a question. So if you want to have the chords, melody and bass lines from Scaler 2 playing in synch I am guessing you have 3 instantaneous of Scaler 2.2 loaded and synched up? Are you also using the midi capture button to capture the performances and dragging the midi into a track in the arrangement?
