Wow. Thanks for this. I’ve been using this for about three weeks. I had no idea about the ability to do the custom eyebrows. That’s awesome. I had to watch it at quarter speed to keep up with your clicks, but that’s an easy fix. Thanks so much for posting this. I’m looking forward to your lip sync video as well as the updated face rig.

nice, I don't know anything about blender, but this makes me feel smart.

@@citrinesanimations Changing the colour of the eyes doesnt work it just gives me an error about the python scripy line 274 also the pose library doesnt work at all and i cant edit multiple peoples face at once unless i click final but if i click final i cant add the option of lips or eyelashes and it becomes very complicated to use

@@mr.cooldude6529 hi I’m currently working on a MAJOR update as we speak, so just stay tuned for that. In the mean time you can go to object outliner to select the eyes and change the colour of the materials

I erased the face to make way for the eyes and mouth but nothing is getting removed on my actually minifigures, what's going on?

I haven’t bought the add-on yet or used blender, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to isolate the mouth and eyes? I’m trying to composite the facial expressions onto Lego stopmotion.

For some reason the pose assets arent showing up in the pose library, not sure what im doing wrong
Dude, thsnks for the addon! It is amazing! On question - I don't have them thumbnails icons in the pose editor (though the poses are there). Any ideas how to fix it?

I need help when i do erase alpha it just removes the texture and doesn't fill with the color i choose and then it doesn't even show up when i update the texture

Alrighty, I missed the part in the tutorial where I need to unzip the downloaded file first and then install the addon from the unzipped zip file :D Was a bit confused first since Mecabricks addon you can just install right away after download :) So seems to work in Blender 4.0 :)
When I add a MecaFace Rig to a new head, there is an empty space between the left and ride side of his mouth. Like 1/3 of the mouth is missing in the middle :(
How do you edit faces like Captain America's, Hulk's, or Hawkeye's with this rig?
Hey man . Tnx alot for this wonderfull add on , i just had a problem with the pose library not working ( when i select a prebuilt face from the library they dont have any assign or apply button , so i simply cannot apply them , can u help me with that plz?

So I tried to change the color of the hair and eyebrows but it just mark as error, idk what I’m doing wrong if I have the rig selected in object mode
Not sure if I've done something wrong but when I add the lips to my rig you can see the lip color through the black outline of the mouth. Any ideas on how to fix that?
Everytime I click the Add Line, it is not on the head, but above the head. How do I fix that? And could we use it to make facial hair like a beard or a mustache?

Is this compatible with exporting to game engines like Unity? I'm trying to find a way to animate similar characters that will be interactive in a game engine, but a lot of animations break when exported into game engines. (...and with as much time as animation takes as it is, it'd suck to invest time and money into using this project that looks really great only to find out it won't work and start over from square one.)
Yeah uhhhh this is way too complicated for me but it was cool to watch you do it!
Also, when the update for Mecaface comes out, will the people who have the older version have to re-purchase?

Thanks a million for this amazing tutorial, I've recently bought the Meca-Face Addon for blender, but when I tried to rig a face for my project, I noticed that the teeth, tongue and eye pupils of the character don't have any colors. So I decided to apply the desired color to them but I couldn't because of an error which I have no clue what it says... You know what the problem might be? Or do you know any solution to resolve this issue? Thanks❤❤😍😍

there already is. there is one small issue with the teeth texture that is on blender's end, nothing I can do about it.

@@blenderdad I just explained that no there isn’t. There is a thing that’s different which is where you switch the teeth texture from extend to cut or what ever. But the teeth wont go for up which is a problem

When I add a line to face, a part of that becomes invisible.
Specially on the top of mouth
For example a line as beard.
What's the problem?

now sure if this will get a reply but hopefully will since i need the help, when i use meca face it wont allow me to have more than one rig in the scene can i fix that so 2 people in the scene have mecaface?

Amazing addon, I only have some problems with the eyes. If i use those purple bars nothing happens.
I have question I can't apply the facial features on the head, i can change the colours but I dont see any change in the face. Does someone know a solution?
i know im late but heres the solution if you still need it, find the bone in the outliner and make it selectable and then select it and go to material tab and change base color

Man, this is really cool! Is it possible to import the face print that you’ve designed in blender back into mecabricks as a custom face print, or can it only be used for 3D animation?
No you can't as the face rig is a full fleshed out mesh which cannot be exported to mecabricks. It can be used for only 3d animation
@@basabrajgupta not true. You can change the shaders to emission shaders and then put an orthographic camera in the front

Yep it should work.
Correction, it does work! Sorry got mixed up with something. It hasn’t been updated as it works just fine and there isn’t an essential need for an update just yet.

Hi i just paid the Mecaface and there is lots of issues cause of the Blender Version.
There is a way to make an update on it ? Cause again i paid for that.
I fixed lots of old nods and replaced by mixRGB but now the drawings are low opacity.

After I rigged the character and than added the mecaface rig, the mecaface rig does not follow the rig when I try to pose the character.
